Avenge your parents' death as you battle invading forces, go on game-changing quests, and make influential choices. Explore majestic castles, deep forests, thriving villages and countless other realistic settings in medieval Bohemia!
Game:
You're Henry, the son of a blacksmith. Thrust into a raging civil war, you watch helplessly as invaders storm your village and slaughter your friends and family. Narrowly escaping the brutal attack, you grab your sword to fight back. Avenge the death of your parents and help repel the invading forces!
Story:
Bohemia – located in the heart of Europe, the region is rich in culture, silver, and sprawling castles. The death of its beloved ruler, Emperor Charles IV, has plunged the kingdom into dark times: war, corruption, and discord are tearing this jewel of the Holy Roman Empire apart.
One of Charles' sons, Wenceslas, has inherited the crown. Unlike his father, Wenceslas is a naive, self-indulgent, unambitious monarch. His half-brother and King of Hungary, Sigismund the Red Fox, senses weakness in Wenceslas. Feigning good will, Sigismund travels to Bohemia and kidnaps his half-brother. With no king on the throne, Sigismund is now free to plunder Bohemia and seize its riches.
In the midst of this chaos, you're Henry, the son of a blacksmith. Your peaceful life is shattered when a mercenary raid, ordered by King Sigismund himself, burns your village to the ground. By bittersweet fortune, you are one of the sole survivors of this massacre.
Without a home, family, or future you end up in the service of Lord Radzig Kobyla, who is forming a resistance against the invasion. Fate drags you into this bloody conflict and shoves you into a raging civil war, where you help fight for the future of Bohemia.

The game is pretty fun, for those looking for an open world RPG it’s definitely a great game despise the many bugs, and hyper-sensitive on the bias of realism.
You character can starve to death, NPCs react based on how your dressed, many neat little things. The main quest line is pretty good, I’ve finished it twice, one before the 1.3 Patch came out that fixed many bugs, and one after. I will tell you this, the update is huge; approximately 24gb because more than likely it replaces a lot of files that were on the base disc due to programming updates. Mostly scripts I assume due to the massive size. However before 1.3 I had a really bad bug where a certain NPC who you can train from massively and teach you really life or death tricks got stuck in one area because I failed to google the quest and figured out I should’ve talked to a NPC first despite it telling you to talk to him AFTER in the quest log. Luckily I was only missing one technique from him.
—Pros—
-> Weather system is great. It works with you. If it’s raining you’ll be stealthier, but your horse will scare more during lightning.
-> The game doesn’t spoon feed you. You HAVE to do some investigating sometimes; there’s no pointer to dictate you to go here and kill such and such. Which is a great switch-up for me.
-> Bounty System is great. If you’re wanted in one place; you can either pay the fine, intimidate the guards when you surrender during dialogue regarding your sentence/fine, or simply run away and wait a few days in the game. It will not affect any other villages/towns.
-> Archery. A LOT of people complain about it, because there’s no cursor to guide you. I will admit it is a pain to learn at first, but as you progress it becomes natural. I’m already 19 Bow and this is all from headshots/hunting. Speaking of Headshots with Archery, if the NPC is not wearing protective face wear it will guarantee one hit kill them. Useful if you’re fast enough and at range enough of a camp of 5-11 bandits. At this point I’ve used archery so much I can hit through face wear in the eye slots and still one-hit-kill. Which might seem like cheesing, but when you got 11 people swinging at you at once, survival of the fittest.
-> Saving. Patch 1.3 added Exit and Save feature. The saving system is quite unique; and though many complaints it’s never hindered me at all. There’s at least one NPC in almost every village/town that sells Saviour Schnapps, which is an alcoholic beverage your character requires in order to save. Sometimes it can be hindering cause your character can only carry so much even after skill upgrades cause they weight 0.5, but again, necessities before carrying 50 different swords/axes/maces.
->Storyline: The storyline is pretty good. There are many plot twists, many activities you do during the quest line, and you may drift off into side quests or numerous activities.
-> Fast Travel: While fast traveling you may come across encounters, like bandit attacks, beggars selling stolen goods at a discounted cost like Savior Schnapps or Treasure Maps, or even wondering knights/mercenaries just looking to duel you in exchange for gold/armor. Some of these knights can be difficult in the beginning as your barely armored and they’re wearing full plate armor everywhere possible. But if you win they give you some nice stuff sometimes. And if you’re desperate, you can sneak up and knock them out or stealth kill for easy 6k+ loot.
—Cons—
-> Selling/Buying: Selling and buying stuff comes natural in many games these days. However the NPC trade system of now vs before the patch kinda makes me wish they left it alone. Before the patch, NPCS would have twice as much gold, especially if you practically gave them stuff to resell. Sometimes it’s worth giving away a 2k plate cuirass you’ll find quite often in order to increase their groschen permanently, and you make even more money when selling loot the next time when they replenish and simply rinse and repeat. The Miller who deals with stolen goods was a perfect example. I had him up to 182k groschen to disload loot to, and after the update I can only get him up to 6k. Needless to say, I have to sell loot everytime he replenishes his inventory cause I got literally 22 each of most armors, 40+ swords and over 2k arrows from farming bandit camp if I want to keep my groschen up from purchasing supplies. Really hope they revert it since it’s skngle player and doesn’t affect anyone else asides you. Plus it seemed realistic, you give someone a 2k cuirass for 1k, they get a 1k boost in their gold next time they replenish they’re inventory making it seem like they did indeed resell it for the actual price.
-> Bugs: The bugs in this game aren’t horrible, and hardly make it unplayable after patches. But there is some not-so-dank stuff goin’ on. NPCs with invisible legs, cutscene skips, etc. There was a bug that made you crash if you opened your horses inventory, which was quite annoying because if the inventory lags and you press RT once on mistake, you’d pay it consequently with a crash, with hours from your previous save, because auto-saves are very, very random. That was the only bug that made me stop playing for a day, because I spent 12am-4am doing quests and hunting, just for the game to crash and I had work the next day. Was very very disappointed. However the bug has been fixed so I will not take off a star for it.
-> UPDATES/PATCHES: God they come so slow for consoles like Xbox One and PS4, but this is due to Microsoft and Sony’s end regarding “Certification”. There are a lot of people who say “oh fucc consoles man, lets get patches on PC FIRST XOXO!!/!-!-!1!1!1”.
I’ve helped designer and assisted on programming on many, many projects.
How about we just make the game playable from day one? I remember the days back with Xbox 360 and PS3 where day one patches were not a thing. You could throw the game right out the case in the console and enjoy the experience. You’re paying full price for a new game, $59.99. Make it playable! Don’t consider us your BETA-Testers. Don’t apologize for new bugs that come along with a patch. Have BETA-Testers lined up, ready to play the game from start to finish; and replay saves to make sure they work with existing saves. I know it’s a relatively new company, but still. This isn’t an MMO where you can roll out a server patch in a day, this patch can take weeks to reach us, especially console players. It really really annoys me that developers think it’s okay to release an unfinished product and call it a “Game Preview” or “Alpha/Beta” but sell it for full price. Discount it, say it’s buggy, give a heads up. More people will buy and be more satisfied with honesty then beating around the bush.
Overall: 5/5 stars from me. It’s a great game. The cons regarding my problems are mostly Sony and Microsoft’s end regarding certification. Though I have had crashes, they are VERY rare now for me after patches/updates. The games playable, start to “finish”, and side quests/activities are fun. It’s a great idea and well executed. A game this size of actions of morality and consequential will have bugs regardless because there’s so many things possible that can collide and interfere with each other. But the game is very well executed. I would recommend this to a friend/buyer. Thanks for reading.

If Deep silver and Bethesda got together to make a title I would be delighted as they would create something truly outstanding. I know they tgey may be in competition with each other but if they formed an alliance the gamers would probably buy the title on mass. They might not ever read this but I hope they do and they would have me as a happy customer.
