This thought provoking book is a must read for any Christian Investor. After reading this book, I made changes in my portfolio and mutual fund accounts, based on the questions and guidelines spelled out after the chapters. I appreciated the appendices in the book, if you wish to contact a company the information in readily available.

God has given Dwight Short the gift to teach Christians willing to listen and hear HIS word, by passing along the importance of
Biblically Responsible Investing.

This is not about social or environmental screening/investing. If you are an advisor to individuals or organizations of faith you will find this one of the best books to get a foundation of education. There are so few books on the subject of biblically responsible investing and Dwight Short does the subject more than justice. He has some excellent resources in the back of the book and this alone will be powerful resource for any advisor seeking to incorporate BRI into their advice. He has since written another book called Profit or Principles Investing Without Compromise written for anyone in a story format. If you are not an advisor then I would recommend Profit or Principles over the Kingdom Gains book. My only compliant on Kingdom Gains book is Dwight seems to mention is past affiliation with Merrill Lynch like 8 times in the book Kingdom Gains.

I just finished Kingdom Gains and really enjoyed it. I had heard of SRI but was not familiar with BRI. It was beautifully explained and related to Biblical beliefs and teachings. It has really opened up my mind as to what we all should be thinking about with our lives and our personal investments. This has information that churches, pastors, individuals, financial planners, and other entities that have responsibility of investing should be armed with when they are making these financial decisions. I especially liked the personal antidotes included in the book. I have bought several of these books and will try and help spread the word.

Kingdom Gains from Dwight Short is a must read for those serious about investing with a moral conscious. Dwight is on the ground floor with this movement which will only gain steam as believers realize it matters how we invest our money just like it matters how and where we give out money. Plus the tools to make this issue attainable are getting better and better. Thank you Dwight for pushing through this tough but important issue.

The author is full of wonderful knowledge in regards to investment. He spoke at Liberty University in one of the financial planning courses and it was wonderful information that he was stating. I really enjoyed reading the book as well. He is a great role model when it comes to bringing glory and honor to God with everything that He does. I recommend this book to anyone that is thinking about investments.

I am on my second read of this outstanding book. It is an easy read and is filled with information that every Christian should know before investing. I believe in these principals so strongly that I have purchased several copies to distribute to others. I personally know the author and can say that he "practices what he preaches". Please don't invest another dime until you read this book.
