1) The drain pull is behind the faucet (from the picture, it looks like it would come out the top, but this is not the case, it is behind the facet, obscured by the white handle). This means it is pulled out at an angle. If this is close to the wall, it become difficult to create a plug in the sink due to the approx 30 degree angle that one must pull to work the lever.
2) Instructions. This are pitiful. While they are not as bad as some which are barely in english, these skip steps or do not provide clear guidance. This has led to the faucet leaking, and my continual attempt to fix it (I basically am jerry rigging it). One example is that you do not use plumber putty for the falange, you use silicone. Ok, fine. Does this go between the falange and the rubber? Between the rubber and the ceramic? On both the top and bottom? I am still trying to figure this out and still fixing the leak because of it.
First, it's cheap, and everything about it feels cheap. Handles feel cheap, plastic cartridges, and a pop up that doesn't fit right.
There's also a water restricting aerator that makes sounds and doesn't provide a lot of flow, but that might be regulatory and not their fault.
In short, I hate this. I spend $200 to have a plumber put it in, dwarfing the price of the faucet, and I will pay $200 for the plumber to change out the fixture as soon as I can get on the schedule.
Update: and within a week, the C is coming off the cold faucet
It arrived a day early.
I saw a nearly exact replica on Lowes website and this was at least 30 dollars cheaper.
It is very attractive and looks wonderful in my country/colonial style (ie. wainscoting on the walls) bathroom.
The faucet seems sturdy and rotates, which is a plus for cleaning and filling things.
The handles have that olden Victorian sort of charm which are lovely.
It's loud. The aerator, at least in the one I received, is noticeably louder than any other faucet in the house. It's kinda a high pitch whine and slightly annoying.
Overall, feels solid, great price, looks wonderful, but kinda noisy.
