Just bought this CF card a few days ago. Satisfied with the speed, used with my D70, shooting raw with 3FPS with little recovery time. Much improvement from my 1 GB Sandisk.

The speed also a big plus.

I paid a lot of $$$ for this card and expected it to be hassle-free during a trip to Ireland. After I had filled about 1.1 GB on the card it suddently refused to work and my camera would no longer recognize the card. I had to use other cards, and my amount of storage was drastically reduced because I lost those 900MB.

However, once I got home the pictures could be retrieved by using a card reader. Somehow about 50 strange folders with jumbled characters had been written to the card, causing the problems (not a camera problem, the card was the problem).

This card was noticeably faster than my other Kingston 1GB "standard" card, however it was slower than the SanDisk Ultra cards that I brought. I was not pleased with the write speed of any of my kingston cards.

I love the memory size of the card but however when you want to shoot withing a very shot time frame, the card is slow. An excellent example would be a birthday party. You take a snap and want to take the next one, you may have to wait at times and you may end up losing the shot. (Initially I thought it was okay but when it kept repeating I felt a bit disappointed) I have the SanDisk Ultra II 1 GB and it has never had a delay. I would used this card for situations where I have plenty of time between shots. Maybe a still life..

So I bought it and stuck it in my Canon EOS 30D. Then I set the thing to rapid fire (5 frames per second) in raw + highest resolution .JPG mode (the camera creates both file types at the same time, about 15 meg/shot). Guess what? It worked. It holds more pictures than I care to load, too. What else do you want to know? It's a memory card. What'd ya xpect?

Fast -- with my D70 shooting 3 fps full-res Normal JPGs, this cards keeps up until it's filled, with no stopping -- that's a ~1100 frame JPG buffer!

Dependable -- these are single-level cell cards, capable of more than 100,000 full write/erase cycles -- that's more than 10 years of daily shooting. The sockets are rated to 10,000 insertion cycles.

Value -- 2GB of pure digital photography fun for $40.

This CF card is perfect for anybody who needs a high capacity (e.g. for hi-res pics) but doesn't care about the transfer speed. It may be a bit annoying though - especially if you try to download all the 2GBs from the card to your hard drive because it takes some time. I do still consider it a real good purchase ;)

I am new to digital photography. Till now I have mainly used point & shoot film cameras. I purchased this card for my Canon 350D SLR and I am completely satisfied. It stores more than 500 photos at highest quality and I found no delay whatsoever in storing images. The card perfomed very well in continuos shots! People who are complaining about speed must note that this is one of the cheapest branded cards available in the market and should not be compared with higher speed costlier cards.

I had bought a lexar professional 512 when the digital rebal first came out at a whopping $230. It has a write speed of 40x. I needed to buy a bigger card becuase when I took pictures at events I did not have enough memory and had to keep changing my jpeg quality.

The kingston was a great choice. Not only did it have four times the memory but a great price to go with it. I would recommend this product to most photographers. The only down side I have had is the write speed claims to be 50x and my lexar at 40x seems to be faster. If you are a action photographer this is not the card for you, this is why I did not give it a five star rating.

I went on vacation this month and had plenty of room to spare on the card. It did everything I needed it to do.
