From the Manufacturer
Why choose a USB 3.0 drive?
USB 3.0 is the next major revision to the Universal Serial Bus (USB). It offers the same ease-of-use and plug and play capabilities as previous generations of USB technologies but with a 10X performance increase and better power management. For users of USB 3.0, the goal of connecting devices to PCs or notebooks is still the same as the USB 2.0 specification.
USB 3.0 helps you save more time and USB 3.0 drives transfer files faster than USB 2.0 drives. Depending on the number of channels and the transfer speeds, USB 3.0 can save you up to 26 minutes with a HD movie transfer compared to standard USB 2.0 drives.
Put USB 3.0 to work with DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0 G2 — and save yourself some time!
Take advantage of all the performance improvements of USB 3.0 with Kingston’s DataTraveler Ultimate 3.0 G2 Flash drive. It’s available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB capacities and is handy and easily transportable.

I am very happy with the feel and performance of the KINGSTON DIGITAL DATATRAVELER ULTIMATE 3.0 GENERATION 2 64GB FLASH DRIVE. I have confidence that my data isn't going anywhere that I don't want it to go and I expect to have and use it for years to come.
MAKE THIS ONE YOUR FIRST CHOICE!!!
UPDATE: September 23, 2013
It's now about a year and a half later and can tell you, without a doubt, that the KINGSTON DIGITAL DATATRAVELER ULTIMATE 3.0 GENERATION 2 64GB FLASH DRIVE is a very reliable Flash Drive. Other than not being able to backup my whole system (due to drive space), I have not found an occasion where this drive has not exceeded expectations. It has performed well using either the 2.0 or 3.0 USB ports. There is no need to look any further for a good, reliable Flash Drive.
UPDATE: March 2016
I've now owned the KINGSTON DIGITAL DATATRAVELER ULTIMATE 3.0 GENERATION 2 64GB FLASH DRIVE for almost FIVE YEARS and it still performs as good as the day I bought it. Even after 5 years (so far), it's kept up with technology.
Anyway, this drive absolutely flies. Copying lots of very small files (word documents, Eudora data) through very large files (huge zip files), the drive is great. For those intending to run Portable Apps within a Truecrypt container, even in USB 2.0, it is leaps and bounds ahead of any other drive I have owned.
I am extremely glad I purchased this drive.
As I hoped, multiple tests (from 1GB to 50GB files) have proven out the specs provided (100MB/s read 73MB/s write for USB 3.0 and 32MB/s both ways for USB 2.0).
Since I use/assist so many different pc's, it is SUPER handy having 64GB with me at all times.
I did reformat it to be NTFS (for a more robust file system and to handle large files).
It can get rather warm after transferring 50GB at once, but not alarmingly so.
Tucked away inside the instructions is a teeny tiny lanyard (one of the smallest I have ever seen). It worked just right for my situation (I have my house key on it).
It has a 5 year warranty (see comments for link)
Only 2 of the PCs that I interact with have USB 3.0 now, but that will change with time, so I have stopped buying 2.0 whenever a 3.0 alternative exists.
It comes in handy for bringing movies and tv shows to watch on my notebook (or phone) while on vacation (my notebook has a rather small SSD).
First, the performance: I've only been using it on 2.0 ports so far, but even there write speeds are significantly better than previous flash drives I had been using. 30+ MB/s write speeds are a big improvement, and I expect this will be great once I start using on a 3.0 port.
My disappointment: this thing is a beast and a bit unsightly on a keychain. I know it's 64GB, but it's actually bigger than 2 of my 32GB pushed side-by-side, casing and all. The loop to attach onto a keychain is also big and THICK, so I couldn't slide it straight onto the ring - actually had to find a 2nd smaller key ring to attach to the drive and then attach to my keys, so that it would move around freely.
What I like most (besides the 64GB) is that the drive feels well built and everything fits securely/tightly. I've had USB keys that are a bit loose when plugged into a port, and can disconnect/corrupt when you get some movement. None of that here - very secure fit. One minor annoyance is that the cap only fits in one direction (why??).
I haven't had any other USB 3.0 drives to compare the size to (particularly with this capacity), so maybe they are ALL this big. It's more of an annoyance - the drive isn't unattractive otherwise and fits snugly into all my USB ports, and at a great pricepoint this is a good buy.
