I installed this in my Acer One netbook. Only use the netbook for internet and watching videos so I only bought the machine with 1GB ram, which at the time was an upgrade from the 512MB. It worked ok, but videos ran slow and whenever my Mcafee was running updates or scanning, it was near useless. I decided after about a year of putting up with it, it was time for an upgrade. Installation took less than 60 seconds. Took me longer to find my screwdriver to take the ram cover off. The machine instanly recognizes the upgrade and just like that, at least twice as fast! Worth every penny. Make sure you get this for optimum performance and no worries on installation, anyone can do it.

Cant beat the price. Upgraded the RAM on my Asus Eee PC HAB 1005 , now runs a lot faster. I can actually tolerate running Windows 7, but Linux is still my preferred option. System detected the RAM instantaneously, Plug and play for sure! I recommend this to a friend.

The 2 GB of memory arrived within 4 days of placing my order and needed no setup on my Samsung netbook. I just powered down, installed the memory and powered up. The extra 2 GB were immediately recognized.

Good choice for a laptop that has issues operating in dual channel mode with 2 identical modules, and needs the PC4200 speed. This single 2GB module is plenty of memory for just about anything out there today. Before the upgrade, I had (2) X 512MB modules installed and Vista would occasionally use 70-80% of the memory. Now with the 2GB installed, Vista just uses around 29%. I think it made a big difference and will open up more opportunities to future OS upgrades. Definitely extended the use of the laptop. Overall I'm satisfied with my purchase. The memory works, and seems to be compatible with my laptop.

I used this to upgrade the RAM in my HP netbook. It came originally with 1gd DDR2 RAM, so this was kind of a no brainer...

But here's the problem. While the computer loads faster, and does most everything else faster...netflix tends to get all choppy. That's a problem for me because I use my Netbook for two things: College work and Netflix.

It's weird and I'm not sure why it's happening to be honest, because literally EVERYTHING else is faster now.

I do recommend it though. I'm going to assume something is simply wrong with Netflix somehow and not blame the RAM given the other noticeable improvements. But if anybody else has encountered this issue or knows what might be happening, please let me know.

After upgrading to Win7 I kept getting freeze ups, I had 2 gigs of ram and hoped that would be enough. It worked some days and not others. So I found this chip that was 2gb and crossed my fingers that it would work and sure enough it DID. My laptop is working the way it should and the chip was worth the 50 bucks rather then buying a new machine.

Used this to upgrade my HP Mini 1100 CTO PC (netbook). Should work in similar HP Mini 1000 series netbooks supporting PC2-4200 memory.

Have thus far had no issues with the memory. Though, I find that the SSD drive in my netbook model appears to be the biggest bottleneck at the moment. Once that gets resolved with a new drive, the 2GB of DDR2 should keep information flowing smoothly to the processor w/o issue.

I like Kingston and have used them for years without issue. I consider them reliably, high quality and well-priced, generally. I recommend this memory. Good stuff.

I purchased this recently for my laptop. My BIOS did not have an advanced tab in Phoenix BIOS to adjust the memory timings, but the SPD rating in the memory were recognized and it did POST at the lower latency timings as advertised (3-3-3-8). I was very happy about this, and it definitely offered a speed boost. I actually upgraded my CPU too, and now this memory is running at 533Mhz with speed timing of 3-3-3-8. Working like a charm without any problems, better than I expected. I recommend only buying Kingston Hyper-X for performance PCs.
