Sadly in all of my testing, none of my UHS-ii cards could achieve speeds higher than UHS-i, around 80MB/s. Taking the same UHS-ii cards and a Sandisk ImageMate Pro reader, I am getting my 200MB/s speeds when transferring content.
I really want to like this device, it was only missing a vga connector for me. Not too many USB-c hubs come with an actual usb-c data port as well.

Second, the port placement. Love how there is a USB-A connection on BOTH sides, so no matter how your desk layout is arranged, you’ll always have USB facing you. Having HDMI on the long end of the hub makes this an HDMI extension, which is much better than HDMI on the side of the hub. You won’t have to bend wires or have the hub in a weird position to get connected.
Only complaint would be that the MicroSD is a little hard to push in, but it’s like that on other hubs too. Besides, not many computers have microSD natively anyway.
Good hub, totally recommend
Edit (29 May 2018): After heavy abuse (during traveling) and high usage (almost on 16 hours everyday) for more than three months, this unit still works like a charm. I am still irritated why a usb-c port was included instead of three legacy usb, this is supposed to be an adapter to overcome the shortfall of my dongle book 'pro' that already has 4 of these! But guess that's a minor issue I will ignore.
The power pass-through works like a charm, I have tried many others and besides this one only the Samsung adapter worked.
Having the extra USB port over the Samsung adapter is great as I don't need to carry an extra USB hub.

Initial thoughts, incredibly easy to use, nothing required, you just plug it in and it's ready to go. It does not heat up which is GREAT given that I mainly work of my hard drive so that's a big plus. All the ports work fine even though I haven't really tested the USB C charging one as I have 3 more of those on my laptop, so no point plugging it on through the dongle.
The problem came up when I tried to connect either: Two Hard drives. One would eject and the other one would connect. It could not handle both at the same time which is a bummer. This also happened if I wanted to stick in an SD card, the hard drive would eject, and vice versa. This is in my opinion the biggest flaw for this dongle. Everything else is fine, design is great, sturdy, matches the colour of my macbook, it's just good overall. But the fact that you can't actually use all it's ports at the same time is a big disadvantage, you would expect that at this price you would get what you pay for.
I searched for quite a while to find a dock with 2 x usb-c and this is a good one. It also has 2 x usb-3 and SD/Micro SD card slots.
I tested it with an Akai LPK25, a Akai MPK mini and my M-Audio Axiom Pro 61 all are class compliant and all of them worked without any problems. I also plugged in my Apogee Duet for iPad and Mac and that worked fine through it too.
I know another reviewer said they couldn’t get their midi keyboard to work, which I don’t understand as all mine work fine.
I tested the hdmi port and that works great too.
