Product Description

Product Description

Fans of the smash-hit KIRBY'S DREAM LAND will find KIRBY'S PINBALL LAND the perfect companion game. KIRBY'S PINBALL LAND features all the characters, settings, and music of Dream Land transplanted to a pinball setting. The result is a more challenging and entertaining game than the first, which went out of its way to be kid-friendly. One major difference between the two games is that instead of eating and spitting out his foes, this time Kirby has to bump into as many as possible. KIRBY'S PINBALL LAND features three unique lands (or pinball tables) for Kirby to battle his way through to reach King Dedede. Each of the lands is modeled after levels from DREAM LAND, down to the same music. A special Warp Screen lets you send Kirby to the level of your choice. Fans of DREAM LAND who found the game not quite challenging enough will be pleased with the complexity of KIRBY'S PINBALL LAND.

I own many Gameboy pinball games. This is one of the best. Smooth scrolling tables (that are quite colorful when played on the Gameboy Color or Advance), nice animations, good ball physics, and a never-ending gameplay style due to the seemingly limitless variety of things to accomplish. This game is getting hard to find. I bought mine used at an online auction, but it has become one of my all-time favorite Gameboy games. Hours, weeks, heck YEARS of fun to be had here! A great entertainment investment.

My grandmother bought me a copy of this game when I was eight, and the first time I played it, it was hard, but with some practice I became a very good pinball player. It has all the old songs and enemies from the kirbys Dream land game, very good!
I would advise you to use this game when on long trips, or when you are stuck in traffic, its a extremey fun time, and I would play it again, and again.

I'll admit that the regular Kirby games just didn't catch my interest after I tried them, but the Pinball Land game is actually a lot of fun. Basically, it IS a pinball game, with flippers and everything, but various elements have been added to make the game more interesting. You have a total of three pinball boards (Wispy, Kracko, Poppy) and you work your way through each game - each game has three sections, bottom, middle, and top. If you fall from the top to the middle, no big deal. You only actually lose a life when you fall through the bottom of the bottom. Each section has certain things that will help you make it to the next section of the board, and 'beating' the top section of each board takes you to the boss.

Beating all three takes you to King Dedede. All in all, this is actually a pretty fun version of a pinball game, with familiar characters from the regular Kirby games. The challenge level is decent, so this game is definitely not a pushover.

Kirby's Pinball Land is actually a pretty cool game. The stages are interesting and the bosses at the top are challenging and fun. I just wish Nintendo could have redone the save feature and given you more than just 3 lives. Making it through all 3 stages and then past King DeDe on just 3 balls is damn near impossible. Nintendo should have had 3 save slots like Zelda for this game and once you beat 1 of the 3 big levels let it stay beaten so you can concentrate on the other 2. Because if you die after beating a level it is game over and you have to replay the whole game over again. So you lose all the progress you just made with no incentive to keep playing.

Why even have a set number of lives at all. Let the player keep playing until you beat the game whether it takes you 10 tries or 100. If the game was setup like that it would have a much higher replay value. You can use a code to go directly to the DeDe stage so you can see what it is like and actually beat the game. It is a Kirby game for heaven's sake it is supposed to be easy and fun to play geared toward younger players.

Overall the game is good but if the developers would have tweaked a few things and redone the save or continue feature it could have been a great game. It is nice seeing all the classic Kirby villains, the Cloud Cyclops, the mean tree, and the mischievous bomber brothers. The level layouts are interesting and engaging. But if you reach the lower rungs of each stage it is really hard to work your way back to the boss. Your thumbs will get a good workout on this game. I would rate this a 3 to 3 1/2 star game it is to bad because this game had a lot of promise.

It's REALLY frickin' hard but dang is it good fun. I've always found myself enjoying these simple little games and this one really is a lot of fun. It has all the cute characters, music and features the original Kirby's Dreamland had but instead in a... you know... pinball machine, or LAND as the title refers it as. It's a good game and is a pretty fun little time waster.

It's easy if your any good at pinball. It's fun and a little challenging. I recommend it as a cheap (not cheesey) gaem for kids and even gamers who enjoy kirby. It's fun for an old game.
