This is excellent chicken and will lend itself to all kinds of dishes. It's tender and tasty and has a nice chunky appearance. It comes with a little starter recipe book and improvisations are welcome and easy. It's an excellent addition to my pantry.
If the current price is too high for you, Kirkland is a Costco product trademark, so if you are a Costco member, you might look for it there.

"Modified starch, also called starch derivatives, are prepared by physically, enzymatically, or chemically treating native starch, thereby changing the properties of the starch. Modified starches are used in practically all starch applications, such as in food products as a thickening agent, stabilizer or emulsifier; in pharmaceuticals as a disintegrant; as binder in coated paper. They are also used in many other applications.

Each can has enough chicken for one large meal, or two medium-small meals. You can split a can between two people and it's still enough to get a decent meal.
The taste is fine. A little bland if you eat it straight from the can, but thats what cooking is for dummy! I steam mine while I am cooking rice and it turns out great. If you don't feel like cooking it you can just add some mayo and pepper, and eat it with crackers, that's great too. Lots of stuff you can do with it.
I might even keep some around the house when I get back home for those times when I don't feel like spending too much time on a meal.
