Leah Ward is impersonating her sister on her first day of work at Santa’s Village because her niece is ill and wants her mum to be with her. Leah has no problem helping her sister, except the elf outfit is too small for her and she has drawn the attention of the one man she didn’t want to meet.
Found out and confronted, Leah is afraid she is going to cost her sister her new and desperately needed job when Chris singles her out. Chris gives Leah no choice but to spend some time in his company.
Don’t dismiss the season for magic and sparkle.
In A Kiss From Kringle (Book 2 in the Frosty's Snowmen series) by Rhian Cahill, we get to meet Chris Kringle and Leah Ward. This is a stand-alone book and can definitely be read without reading book number one, but having said that I am now going to go back and read book on because I really want to find out about Jack and Elle.
Chris runs a company that deals in the magic of Christmas and he is super optimistic about life and about Christmas and anything to do with Christmas. Into his well planned life bowls Leah Ward who illegally fills in for her sister when her niece falls ill.
Chris recognizes that she is not who she should be and initially wants to get rid of her, but he is bowled over by Leah. She is also bowled over by Chris, but just not so much in the romantic way. The man really won’t take no for an answer. He is pushy when it comes to what he wants and to Leah – all of this is in a nice way though. He isn’t the least bit creepy about it, in fact he is caring and positive and happy and fun to be with. He just sees that she needs help and he goes out of his way to help.
Leah has a hard time opening up to Chris and to the potential of a possible relationship but it is Christmas and Leah just needs to give up and open herself up to the spirit of Christmas and the adorable and caring Chris and see where that takes her. Can Chris convince Leah to open her heart this Christmas and will Chris get his Christmas wish? You will have to read A Kiss From Kringle to find out. This is a sweet story that will definitely get anyone in the Christmas spirit!
What starts off really cute, bossman Kriss Kringle of Frosty's Snowmen spies a girl he knew he didn't hire but is taking the place of who he did hire, he later finds out its Haylee's sister, Leah. She fills in for her sister in hopes no one notices while her sis is at home tending to her sick toddler.
Cute enough to begin with but then it takes a drastically creepy turn, he becomes enamored - ah wait, obsessed? With this girl he just met and she isn't oblivious to the madness of it all. He goes so far as to say he's thinking about their future kids - less than 24 hours of knowing her. Ha?
42 hours into knowing one another "magic" happens and he wants more of her.
While Kris Kringle has a cute way of going about his insanity and creepiness, it's still just that. If you can get past the whole creep factor and take it for what it is.. light, airy, fluff... Go for it!
The author does a good job introducing the characters and getting the reader to relate to them in this short read.
I liked both Chris and Leah. Chris was persistent in his pursuit of the new elf. He was a bit over the top but he knew what he wanted and was determined to get her.
Leah's taken care of her family for so long it's about time someone takes care of her. She is giver and doesn't take time for herself. It was a sweet fall for our heroine.
I was given an ARC for a honest review.
