The 6th book in the little town of Christmas, Colorado was - interesting. The book primarily focuses on 'Chloe'. She is an absolute Diva, spoiled brat, character you don't like. I have to give props to Debbie for her talent for (almost) turning things/opinions around. (Still don't like her but, despise a little less. LOL)

It's great to see the interaction and relationships of former primary characters and visit the little town. Although I didn't really like Chloe, definitely love the series.

4 stars for PG rating for language.

Chloe is a person you have a love hate relationship with. Easton was her first and that was ruined when she did a swap with Cat. Now years later she is reviled by people in Christmas only Easton has her figured out. The back and forth between Chloe and Easton and the back and forth between Chloe and Cat was fun. Add in Ty, Nell and GG. Love this series.

I really enjoy the Christmas series. Debbie took a character (Chloe), who was really unlikeable and had me rooting for her in this series. She showed the real Chloe and not just the cover she was putting up and she showed the reasons behind why she did the things she did.

I can't believe I'm about to say this but of all the books I've read in this series, this is actually one of my favorites! That's saying a lot because at the end of the previous book, I did not think it was possible for Chloe to be redeemed but Ms. Mason did it and showed us a different side to her. Lots of humor, heart and emotion make KISS ME IN CHRISTMAS a delightful read.

Chloe O'Connor may be a TV darling but in Christmas, Colorado she is considered to be a high maintenance drama queen and an airhead. In reality, her ditzy routine covers a very sweet, smart and caring woman afraid of rejection. Chloe acts with the best intentions but the results are almost always far from what she intends. A childhood plagued by sickness and high school awkwardness have made her very insecure and she masks this with the diva attitude and only one person can see beneath that facade: Easton McBride.

Easton fondly remembers the quiet, kind and shy Chloe from high school that he enjoyed spending time with, but would prefer to stay away from the spoilt woman she has become. Unfortunately, this is not possible because Chloe needs someone to keep her in line and he's the only one that can do this. What starts out rocky becomes a very sweet and emotional journey of discovery for Chloe. With Easton's help, she lets the people of Christmas see the sweet and intelligent person underneath and finds herself enjoying a town that she couldn't wait to leave and falling in love with the one man that has always been there for her. I loved Easton for standing up for Chloe and was rooting for their HEA.

Family drama, misunderstandings, small town shenanigans all add to the chaos of this story.

There is something about this series that I am just absolutely loving. The small town romances with lots of happy couples and one aunt that is determined to play matchmaker for her books. All of it mixed together makes for super fun books. In the previous book in the Christmas, Colorado series, we get to know Chloe O'Conner as a superficial starlet that really takes her sister for granted. In the 6th book of the series, Kiss Me in Colorado, readers get to see a different side of Chloe. No longer the starlet, Chloe is the outcast of the small town with really only one person in her corner. Her heart breaks a little more each time she's left out of family functions, with every snide comment from her tormentors, and at the thought of her one love wanting someone else. My heart broke along with her. In fact, I teared up more than once. Although she truly dug her own hole, I still wanted to give her a friendly hug and glare at everyone else. Easton is torn between the true Chloe that he knows still exists and the Chloe that the world has seen lately. Slowly, he falls deeper until he's firmly planted in her corner and faces those that doubt her. I adored Chloe and Easton. Honestly, she was not my favorite character in the previous book, but she more than redeemed herself in this one. To fully understand and appreciate her transformation, it is best to read both books in order. There were moments where I wanted Easton to wake up and realize how he's treating her, especially in the beginning when he's not so truthful with her. When he finally comes around and reveals the protective man he really is, I fell in love with him alongside Chloe.Read more ›

Kiss Me in Christmas by Debbie Mason is a sweet, standalone romance novel that takes place in the fictional town of Christmas, Colorado. The novel focuses on the past history and complicated relationship between soap star Chloe O’Connor and her longstanding crush Easton McBride. Chloe has flown back to town from Los Angeles for her sister’s engagement party and has brought drama along as her date. Easton, though cautious and critical of Chloe’s purpose for being back in town initially, warms up to Chloe and sparks begin to fly.

Both Chloe and Easton have well developed and distinct characteristics. Both sport nicknames that give insight into their personalities as well. Easton enjoys calling Chloe “Scarlett” due to her flamboyant tendencies and flair for the dramatic, while Easton is Chloe’s version of a white knight. He is always coming to the rescue even when he believes Chloe’s messes are of her own making. They actually seem very different and incompatible with one another at first, but as their story unfolds, it becomes apparent that their differences complement one another. They are constantly at odds with one another over Chloe’s sisters’ engagement as well as living arrangements and their quirky families only serve to intensify the drama.

Indeed, a unique aspect of this novel is that both their families are tightly intertwined with one another. Easton’s dad is married to Chloe’s mom, so an important aspect of their story is familial interference. In a town like Christmas, nothing is kept secret for long. Because of the rich cast of characters, readers not only get to know Chloe and Easton but also their support systems and acquaintances.
