From the Author

Some favorite quotes from Kiss Me in Paris
  • "One star breaks off from the others, shooting across the sky, a bright light trailing behind it, and I finally understand why people wish on dying stars. Because something always has to die for life to give birth to a new dream"
  • "Paris is pregnant with layers of history, colored with the ink of artists who dared to dream of a world only they could see."
  • "It's the nature of being human that, in our own blindness, we lash out and blind others."
  • "I think of Winter, of her smile, her eyes, her arms wrapped around me, and I know where home is. It's wherever she is, and right now she is too far away. My heart has escaped my body and is walking Paris without me."
  • "She opened herself to him, and, in that moment, she opened herself to the world. Let it hurt her. Let it burn her veins, boil her blood and scorch her heart. For where there could be pain, there could be pleasure and love. She would be cold no longer. She would melt the hearts of others, and in turn, they would melt hers. She would feel the full spectrum of emotions and cry. She would be human. And she would be happy."

I had the privilege to be a beta reader for this book, and I waited for weeks with baited breath to read this novel. By the time I finally got the book, I was so worried that I had built it up so much in my head that I would be disappointed once I finally read the finished product. I WAS WRONG. Even with the highest expectations, I was completely blown away by this book.

Winter and Cade are an amazing couple! Both characters are extremely well developed and well rounded. By the end of the book, I felt like I truly knew them, they just seemed so real to me. Both of them have a colorful past, but together they're able to work through the heartbreak of the past and move forward to a brighter and happier future.

These pasts are so heartbreaking. Get tissues! This book is actually the first book of the year that's made me cry. The story is so touching, but has such heartbreaking moments. Winter and Cade deserve one another, just based on how the horrors of their pasts building them into such strong and capable individuals.

This book is definitely on par with everything I've read from this amazing author, and I can't wait to read more about the other sisters and they're travels around the world finding love.

Definitely highly recommended. One of the best contemporary romances I've ever read!

Note: I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

~* I received a copy of When the Heart Falls from the authors in exchange for an honest review. I have not been and never will be compensated for my review of this book. This review is my honest opinion and is in no way influenced by the authors' generosity. *~

When Kimberly Kinrade and Dmytry Karpov offered their street team a chance to beta read When the Heart Falls, I jumped at the opportunity even though the deadline was short. I had nothing holding me back from completing my beta reading at the time I started. But life got in the way and I could only complete the first half of the book. I never did finish my beta reading because the issues took a handful of days to resolve, but as I read, the story helped me in ways I cannot wholly convey. I need to take this time to copy a quote from the beta copy that filled me with so much emotion I had to stop reading. This quote fits the problems I was having in my life so well, it feels like it was written specifically for me to see.

"Yes. That's passion, not love. Passion fades. And once it does,
you're left taking care of someone you can barely stand, suffering
through hard times, putting up with each other, trying to make each
other happy when you're not even happy yourself. A sculpture of real
love wouldn't look this enticing. It would include pain and cruelty."

While this quote was about Rodin's sculpture The Kiss, it felt so real to my life at the time I was reading. I felt hopeless as I continued reading, but all of that faded as I learned with Cade that there is such a thing as passionate love. My problems have been resolved now and I have to thank Kimberly and Dmytry for writing this novel and helping me through a particularly hard time even though they had no idea at the time.

I received this book to do an early review from the Authors. I could not be happier to say this is a book I will read many times and will HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who wants to laugh and cry and cheer for the happy ending that we all deserve. I was afraid with two authors it would be broken and hard to follow but it flowed like a river, tranquil and breathtaking with undercurrents that make you cheer for the characters. I found myself taking notes on some of the phrases because they are just that profound. the pictures of Paris could not be better painted. the reader feels as if you are there and side by side with the characters. The portrayal of the emotion is raw and real. I simply cannot say enough things about this book but READ IT NOW! YAY! I have a new favorite author(s).

I had the pleasure of being a BETA reader for Kimberly Kinrade's and Dmytry Karpov's "Kiss Me in Paris." I am so lucky I got to review this amazing book! From start to finish I couldn't help but laugh, cry, cheer, etc throughout the whole novel. Kinrade has a way with words, and especially with stories. She is able to captivate readers right from the start and keep them guessing the whole way through. I love her writing and with "Kiss Me in Paris" it just shows the kind of writing she has in her. This novel took a lot of research and time. Kinrade was able to make me miss Paris very much, but she was even able to give plenty of description to someone who has yet to go to the amazing city. Read this novel not only to find out some amazing places in Paris, but the romance and growth of the characters. The reader is able to see the growth of each character, well not one but he was a jerk anyways. Each character has such an important role in this novel. The character who in the end I loved the most was Leslie. She is such a small character and the reader only see's her in the beginning and end of the novel, but she has a major impact of Cade and the choices that he makes. All in all, what an amazing novel!

Here are some of the amazing quotes in "Kiss Me in Paris":
~"Because something always has to die for life to give birth to a new dream."
~"Paris is pregnant with layers of history, colored with the ink of artists who dared to dream of a world only they could see."
~"I've ever seen, just a random gas pump in the middle of the sidewalk." (I added this one because I was just in Europe and this is very common. I was in shock when I saw just one gas pump on the sidewalk. It was the funnest thing I have ever seen)
~"It's like I'm giving birth from my mouth.
