This is the first book I've read by Stephanie Julian...I tend to be a bit conservative in my reading. This was definitely a red hot read, as most of her stories seem to be. So if scorching sex scenes make you uncomfortable...well, get over it and read the book anyway. Stephanie Julian is an amazing storyteller.

It's the first book in a while I finished in one sitting. I fell in love with her characters, Kyle and Tamra. He's a strong but loving alpha, and although she's vulnerable, she is far from weak. It was also refreshing to not have a huge misunderstanding between them or major roadblocks to their feelings. The bond forged immediately and they had to work thru situations. I loved Kyle's daughter Cat.

The secondary character's were really interesting, but the path being set seems to be a menage, which I really don't like to read. But, it looks like book two is only 1.49 for kindle right now, so I might take a chance since I enjoyed her storytelling's so much.

Kiss of Midnight is definitely worth a read.

A spin off of the Magical Seduction series, The focus moves from the Linchetto (night elves) to the Lucani (werewolves). Tam (Tamra) McMillian is in hiding, trying to put her life back together after a brutal beating and rape, staying in her great grandfathers secluded cabin. Kyle Rossini and his teenage daughter Cat pay a visit and welcome their new neighbor. Tam feels at ease with Cat and is attracted to her father. Cat takes a strong likeing to Tam and Kyle may have just found his mate. When unknown stranger are found near Tam's house, Cat and Kyle's secret is revealed. Someone is out to kidnap Tam. Love the world building and Lucani community set up. Nortia and Sal have a cameo, and the de Feo brothers get a mention. A sweet and steamy love story.

This book was a complete waste of time. I couldn't relate to the female character's plight! I mean here she was a rape victim and who was supposed to be so traumatized that she isolated herself in the middle of nowhere. But she kisses and has sex with a man she barely knew!! How is that possible? Someone please explain that to me! I couldn't even finish this. It was just ridiculous and on top of that, the whole story felt rushed and not well thought out.. If this is an example of this Author's writing then count me out on all future books. I am glad it was free or I would've been asking the Author personally for a refund!!!!

This was a really great sexy read. although Tamra went from scared and lonely to sassy and wanton within a chapter or two. Which would have been OK but then there are certain circumstances makes me scratch my head like really?? Anyway aside from that I found this to be really good read.

Very good story. I had a hard time putting it down. It did have several sex scenes in it so I don't recommend it for young readers. It did however need a proof reader to correct some of the mistakes but they wasn't bad and not that many.

Started out loving the hero, he was awesome, strong, and sexy, but I really just didn't like the heroine. At all! I felt like she was just colorless, lifeless and irritating. I wonder if is because the hero was constantly worried about their age difference (13 years). Reguardless of the fact that she was described as a traumatized, mostly innocent 23 year old. In my mind, I felt like she was a teenage university student and he was 36 years old ("old man" as the other characters kept calling him). Sadly, to me, a 39 year old mom with teenagers, not a sexy plot at all. Just couldn't get emotionally attached to the characters, and while I did start out liking the hero, towards the end I did feel like he was robbing the cradle and it turned me off of him. In fact, I think it caused me to compare him to those men that ditch their faithful wives and pick up a mid-life crisis skinny barbie. *threw up in my mouth a little bit* So in the end, I have to say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE paranormal romance books, but the combination of plot problems in this book just turned me off and I was unable to enjoy it. :(

Kiss of Moonlight appears to be the start of a new series of beautiful magical beings, mythical gods and shape shifters with their own rules and foreign terms. Fortunately, there is a helpful glossary up front full of foreign words and their definitions.
Shifter Kyle has managed to make it late into his 30's without falling prey to love and giving up his freedom to a woman. He came close once and still shares a tight bond with his ex-lover and her husband Dan who together all share their teenage daughter Cat. Cat adores her two dads but worries about Kyle being lonesome and nudges him, none too gently, to find a mate.

When Cat discovers a beautiful, young woman has moved into a house just outside their borders she shifts into puppy form and befriends the emotionally and physically wounded woman and later pleads with Kyle to check in on her. Cat knows exactly what she's doing even if love-shy Kyle hasn't a clue. Kyle shifts, checks out the scene and is entranced by Tamra's beauty and honesty as she confides in him her darkest secrets, thinking he's nothing but a harmless dog. It's love at first sight for Kyle who will now do everything in his power to keep Tamra safe.

The characterization at the start of this story reeled me in. Cat is adorable, funny and knows exactly how to work Kyle to get exactly what she wants. Kyle is an assassin for his King but is portrayed as an open, caring, masculine guy secure in his skin and funny and kind in his thoughts. After his bossy daughter has forced him to do something he doesn't get angry, he just does want what she wants knowing he's whipped.

"Yep, someone should just take his balls and hang `em in a closet somewhere.
