James Patterson and Jill Dembowski, deliver another exciting story as this saga continues. Whit and Wisty have extraordinary capabilities, and finally defeat the cruel dictator, but other problems exist as more challenges must be met. All odds seem to be against a brother, and a sister as Heath captures Wisty's heart. The powerful Wizard King threatens war, magic is tested, and Wisty must make a complicated decision. A war is brewing, danger spreads like wild-fire, and a beautiful world once fought for could become a nightmare. Can Wisty trust Heath, and will their world be destroyed? The intriguing story grabs your attention in the very beginning, the mystical setting is picture-perfect, and the colorful characters come to life. Young adults will enjoy this installment as well as adults, and love this epic dystopian series as they crave for more. Will their world be saved? Magical, enjoyable, and entertaining. Highly recommended!

Since this was part of a series, I assumed this would be as good as the others, the pacing was a little slower than the other books, and he really portrayed the female character poorly this time. Wisty is a lot stronger, based on the previous books, and it was sad to see him let her fall into the cliched scenario of falling for a guy. Please, give the girl some credit, she is not and hadn't been in the past that stupid.

I am willing to step out on a limb and say I was just too old for this book. I liked some of his other teen books and thought I would like this one, but I didn't. I feel like it is written for more of the elementary or middle school readers.

The topic and conversations were beyond childish. I just wanted the book to end. Situations were too easily solved. The entire thing felt predictable. Not only that, but Wisty's relationship rubbed me the wrong way. I also felt the characters were extremely judgmental and whinny.

I am just glad I finished it, but I do think it should be targeted at the younger readers.

This was quite a fitting and satisfying end to a series, but I'll still be kind of sad to never read any new books about these characters. The only real problem with this book is that I a handful of lines, I felt like a word or two were missing from sentences. If you liked the previous books in the series, you really should read this one. Unlike one other series by this author I read, this book has a definite ending. I won't bore you with a plot summary as I know other reviewers are fond of doing that. Have at it because I don't think you'll be disappointed. It's quite a ride and quite an ending. Go for it!

I love this whole series and have read all five books. I hope there will be more to come as we wait to see what happens to Whit and Wisty. I'd love for Wisty to fine love for once that isn't tainted by darkness.

James Patterson is so full of ideas for books that one would almost believe him to be a wizard. I am looking forward to reading Book 5. The graphic wording paints a picture as you read about melting faces and snarling "kitties" with fangs dripping blood and saliva. I am very happy that his words don't conjure up that world as ours.

I purchased all four of the witch and wizard series books at one time because I don't like waiting for installments to be at hand. They were easy and quick to read and kept me sane on 4 long flights. I think they would be great for pre-teens and young teens who enjoy fantasies.

The first book got me interested, but now it seems like the plot is losing steam, almost as if they are forcing the story to continue, when it could have just ended. With that said, I read it, and I will probably read another one if it comes out.
