We can always count on Proby for a fun, lighthearted read with sizzling chemistry and low-key angst. I was glad to get my hands on an early copy of this book and I loved everything about it. The warmth, friendship and sense of community between this Big Sky “family" will make the loneliest reader feel a sense of belonging as these wonderful characters take you on their journey. Jenna is strong, intelligent, warm and compassionate, with a slight Type A personality flaw that makes her all the more endearing. Away from the glitz and glam of his manufactured life, Christian gets a chance to be his authentic self, and it’s pretty amazing that such a great guy still exists in spite of all the Hollywood pressures. Of course, they’re amazing together and exactly what the other needs.
I love these interconnected stand alones, because it feels like returning to a favorite vacation spot and catching up with old friends. They really can be read in any order since Proby gives enough details on peripheral characters so the reader doesn’t feel lost. With things like the tabloids stirring up trouble, a wildlife mishap on an icy road, and a well meaning, over protective, interfering sister, there’s plenty happening to keep the reader's interest throughout the book. If you like your romance fun and easy but steamy and heartfelt, you’ll love Kissing Jenna!

But honestly, I don’t know why I was surprised. Everything Kristen writes makes me want to take off and explore the towns and cities that her characters live in, hoping that I might run into her characters (yes I know they’re not real, a girl can dream right?). Kissing Jenna is no exception. I want Jenna as a friend and a Christian to call my very own. These two were so much fun to read about...and so freaking sexy. I loved how effortlessly they fell for each other, how easy their friendship blossomed.
Another thing about Kristen’s books that I absolutely adore is the beautiful friendships that the female characters have. The Big Sky women are just as close knit as the women in Kristen’s other series. I love that they welcome newcomers in with open arms, that the have regular get togethers where they drink wine and gossip about their hot men. They really do feel like real people. I love that a certain couple that longtime Kristen fans know and love make a really awesome cameo in Kissing Jenna. It makes me so happy when she ties two of her series together, even when it’s just a quick mention of a character or place from another series. It just makes me smile.
I absolutely 1000000% recommend this book. Kissing Jenna can be read as a standalone, but if you haven’t read Charming Hannah or the books in the Love Under the Big Sky series, you really need to get reading.
Kissing Jenna has the immediate attraction feel that we all know and love in Kristen Proby’s writing. She writes feel good love with happily ever afters, and this one did not disappoint. My only disappointment was that it seemed so short! I wanted more, more, more! I felt like I could have read their story for hours longer.
Jenna is a strong-minded and capable business woman who has a lovely treehouse resort, that I personally would love to vacation to. The scene set in the book made is easy to visualize something wonderful. When Christian comes into town to stay out of the limelight in one of her quiet treehouses to learn how to ski for an upcoming movie role, she didn’t expect anything but another guest to fill the space. Their lives seem so polar opposite that there’s no way Jenna can see them working out as a couple. His overprotective sister, Nina, doesn’t make things any easier for them.
Looking forward to seeing their romance grow as the series continues on. And the introductions to Max and Willa in Charming Hannah that continue in Kissing Jenna made me all that much more anxious to see their story unfold.
