The first two bullet points in the description are false: "This Certified Refurbished product is tested and certified to look and work like new. The refurbishing process includes functionality testing, basic cleaning, inspection, and repackaging"

I know mine was not tested because it arrived today with bent cord prongs that do not fit in any wall socket. How could it have been tested? Will it even work if the prongs are bent back?

The blade for the Ninja Cups had clumps of food on the blade gasket when I opened the package. Disgusting. I understand refurbished items are previously used however I should not be receiving the previous owner's meal. I will be returning this item.

Beware of flying objects!

I truly loved this blender. I've been using it for a couple of years to make soups, smoothies, drinks etc... A few days after I mentioned to my husband that I was so happy with our purchase and that we were getting our money's worth out of it, I made a smoothie with frozen strawberries, bananas, protein powder, water and ice. Low and behold, the smoothly ended up on the walls of my kitchen!!! I thought the lid came off but then I looked at the side of the blender and a strawberry blew out the side of it and left a large hole. It that frozen strawberry hit someone it could have caused major damage. I then noticed that there were a bunch of very small stress lines ion the sides of the blender pitcher which I assume weakened the plastic. I looked on line for another pitcher for the blender and it was almost as much as buying a new blender! More importantly, this is a warning, that based on my experience, the plastic pitcher will not hold up and you may end up with frozen fruit bulleting through it and causing a mess, or worse, causing major damage if it hits someone in its path.

Good blender but lid leaks

Blender itself is great but the lid is poorly made as it does not seal properly and has leaks contents all down onto the base. I have to push firmly on the lid to ensure it keeps contents in. Lid is fully seated and pitcher is not overly full. No option to email Ninja, getting support seems more of a hassel than dealing with it until I can buy a different blender.

Nothing wrong with what I received. It seems lots of people are getting faulty stuff, but this is refurbished so I guess we all know how this works and that’s the game we’re playing.

It’s a really great blender that performs exactly like what $170 probably should get you. It’s not the best blender in the world, it doesn’t pulverize berry seeds into nothing or anything, but it’s a whole lot better than the $30 cheap ones. All attachments are very useful. Great for cooking, daily workout shakes, etc. It’s a bit pricey but overall it’s not a lot of money if you are using a blender daily. Very, extremely easy, and quick to clean. That alone makes it worth the price even not including the great performance.

Last thing to note: the IQ system feature is marketing bs. There is no computer inside the blender checking for resistance to make sure you get the perfect smoothie. All it really does it make the blender repeatedly turn off and on to let things settle a bit and give a nice even blend. It’s a great feature but that’s really all it is. Highly recommend this blender if you will be blending daily. Don’t hate it at all.

I can’t make anything after the kiddos go to bed for fear of waking them up...it’s that loud.

Everything I hoped for! The "extract" setting took me a few rounds to get some of the more heavy duty veggies into a soupy/smoothie like liquid. If you don't mind your juices a little "chewy" (I don't) then its no big deal. This machine definitely packs a punch - just don't expect the juices to come out of the pitcher silky smooth. But that's nothing a simple strainer can't fix! I also love the suction feature for the counter top, keeps that guy in place while working hard. Love it!!
