11" long! Much larger than typical toast tongs
These are 11" long. I mean it says it right there in the title & the description, but apparently I stopped reading at "toast tongs" and expected something more like 6." As a result, the family all had a good laugh.Despite the unexpected size (again, my own fault) they work, and they're much sturdier than other pairs of toast tongs I've used. Bonus - these would be great for many other applications beyond toast.

    I am so glad that I found and ordered the Beech Wood Toast Tongs. These aren't just for toast, you can use them as tongs for your other foods, too! Light weight and easy to use, easy to clean. These tongs are very smooth, made of Beechwood and reinforced with a metal backing. Very easy to use. I'm so happy that I ordered these tongs. Quality made, should last for years to come. If you have considered ordering these, I suggest you go ahead and order right away, you will be so happy to have these tongs, you won't know how you got along with out them!

    These did get the toast of the toaster. They were far larger than I was expecting, though. The ends are rather thick, too, so it's a little challenging getting bread out that isn't close to the top. I would have preferred more tapered ends. I had intended to use these in general as our cooking thongs to replace plastic ones we have, but the blunt thick ends limited our ability to do that. I do like the peace of mind with a safer way of retrieving my toast but not sure we can commit our limited kitchen space to a large tool that has only one function.

    These toast tongs are generously sized and well-made. The beech wood is sanded smooth with no rough edges. The clip is mounted securely and will not break or snap from reasonable use. I like the hollow design; it adds a little style. They might be a little hard to squeeze if you have any strength issues with your hands (arthritis, etc) due to the metal clip, but overall they are very easy to use, and because they are so long, they will reach to the back of our Breville smart oven.

    One thing about the listing description - there is one photo that says these are 100% bamboo. They are definitely wood and not bamboo.

    These tongs are long and there is no way to close them, but they work very well for toast or other lightweight pieces of food. They appear to be constructed well enough for long-term use.

    I am rotating out my plastic utensils for more natural and safe wood versions. This set of tongs looks great, is comfortable to grip, and is made of lightweight beechwood. I have always had success with beechwood utensils and I expect the same with with these tongs.

    There is no locking mechanism on them so they stay open when stored. The grip area is long and wide, there isn't much that can't be picked up. The tongs are a bit tight, as they should be, but not so much that you cannot comfortably use them. I wouldn't recommend using them in hot oil/grease, but picking up burgers, steaks, etc., in addition to your table spread trays (fruits, veggies, breads, etc.) will work just fine.

    These are the best wooden tongs I have ever had. The metal spring works well to open and close them almost effortlessly. They are very sturdy.

    Great for getting toast out of the toaster oven or teabags out of my kombucha.

    These are nice and well made, but I can't use them for my intended purpose. They are too thick to be able to use them to pull a piece of toast out of the toaster. If you have another use for them, then I guess it is a fine product.
