Lids leak but otherwise great

These bowls were a great price at $21. The bowls themselves seem sturdy and well-made. The lids fit tightly, and won't be coming off unless you want them to. However, the lids are not airtight or leak proof. I needed them to be leakproof so that I could put them in a cooler full of ice without the ice water mixing with the contents of the bowls... yuck. I tested two of the bowls to see if they would leak. I filled them about halfway with water, very carefully made sure the lids were fully secured, and then tipped them upside down. Unfortunately they both leaked a steady trickle of water. I'm assuming the rest of the bowls would be the same. If you do not need them to be leak proof, I would recommend this set.

Excellent bowls, excellent lids. I’m not sure why people are claiming that the lids loosely sit on top, but they do not. You have to push the lids down into the bowl, they seal perfectly. Overall very very pleased with my purchase

They are bowls put stuff in take stuff out. I guess you can use as a drums for toddlers. Colorful lids are nice they cover the bowls and they best together nicely if only my kids would bother to take the smaller bowl out before stacking the odd man out on top

I needed to buy some stainless steel bowls but they were ridiculously expensive in every store, so i decided to try here.

Super nice having lids but I wish the bowls were larger for mixing purposes. For storage and serving they are great but if you make lage amounts of baking goods the bowls are not the best to leave enough room for rising when baking bread and proofing. Not the best in general for baking wise especially with a large family. Other than that we love them and are very useful

I spent a long time looking for new mixing bowls. The ones I’d been using were inherited from friends and family - and I’d used most of them for close to 50 years. The plastic ones with lids I had were made before we knew BPA was an issue. It was time to look for something else. I've been using these bowls for only a few months, but they are working for me. The lids, so far, fit well, and it is useful to have lids for all the bowls. The bowls are not heavy, but they do not seem to be excessively thin. I’ve had no issues with denting or with scratching of the surface. I like the size range of this set better than most others on Amazon and in local stores. I have had no negative issues in washing either the bowls or lids in the dishwasher. So far I’m pleased with this purchase.

I got these to replace a large bowl from a 3-bowl Farberware set from years ago that suddenly grew a small hole at the bottom (I still have NO idea how that could have happened). I was really nervous reading the reviews but this a great set. The lids fit tightly enough that if you roll the bowl over, it doesn't leak liquid although I wouldn't leave it upside down for any length of time, but it's nice to know that the lid doesn't pop off and create a mess. The different colored lids are nice too. My only "complaint" is that if you don't want water spots on these, you will have to hand dry them (not that I really care but some people might).
