I’ve used toaster oven‘s all my life. Bought this one and eight months later decided to give it to my grandson. This KitchenAid will cook a pizza but the edges turn up a little bit on both sides of the oven so, I decided to search for a larger oven.
Went to Sam’s bought the Oster extra-largeCountertop oven and was very very pleased with the size. It was really large! The largest out there so far. Holds a pizza with extra room on all sides but the thermostat wasn’t worth a darn. Took forever to heat up to 350* and there was no indicator light to know if it had reached full temp. I gave up on it and sent it back.
Then, I purchased the next largest size out there which was a Black and Decker extra-large toaster air fry oven. It had the same width as the Oster oven although the depth was about 2 inches shorter. A large pizza fit in it with plenty of room on both sides but was tight from front to back. It had the same problems with the thermostat as the OSTER. Took 16 minutes just to heat up to 350° At 400* the pizza was burnt in the back portion and very soggy on the other 3/4’s. After 20 minutes the dough wasn’t even so much as toasted. When we picked up a slice, the pieces were so limp they bent in half and the toppings slid off. I am sending the Black and Decker back and will be very happy and relieved to have another KitchenAid in my home.
I have cooked casseroles, cakes, pizzas, and very often cook corn bread in a 10 inch iron skillet in my KitchenAid toaster.
Oh and I must say, the other brands were VERY lightweight compared to this
KitchenAid. It is built heavy duty!!
You know when you place it on your counter that you have a QUALITY PRODUCT.
And no one asked me to write this. I am so disgusted and tired of dealing with cheap ovens that I felt driven to let folks know.
