This mixer has no speed whatsoever. My first real disappointment with any KitchenAid product. Never had lumpy mashed potatoes until I used this mixer. Cake batters will not mix. So disappointed. Maybe the one with more speeds would work better.

Do not let the slow speed fool you. This thing gets the job done. I've whipped cream, eggs, creamed cold butter to make chocolate chip cookies, and whipped up mashed potatoes and it did it all without being super loud. My old mixer sounded like a 747 taking flight. The slow speeds are actually slow and the high speed is more than adequate. In fact, I accidentally overbeat my mashed potatoes into a gluey mass because the sound was so quiet and the speed was so much slower than I'm used to. Because this mixer is designed so well, it does a lot more with a lot less. The beaters are easy to clean without the middle bar going down the center. They look thin but are strong and do not bend. I believe their hollow design is a big reason why this beater works so well. Science is an awesome thing.

As my dessert is baking in the oven, I thought I wouldn't waste another minute to let you know how tickled I am with this mixer. I checked out many hand mixers and read LOTS of reviews. This mixer doesn't disappoint in any way...It is lightweight, QUIET!!!!, low speed is VERY LOW, sturdy construction, and just plane delightful! The beaters are much thinner than my other mixer, but very powerful in delivery.
This mixer will get a LOT of use!

So I’ve had a $12 Hamilton Beach hand mixer for the last 10 years. It was loud, obnoxious, and didn’t have a true “low” setting. So when it died, I thought I’d upgrade. However, this mixer doesn’t seem to have a true “high” setting. I think the max speed on this mixer is about as fast as the lowest speed on my old one. So, yes, it works. Yes, it’s quiet. But it definitely takes longer to whip things. So I’m not overly impressed (especially for the price) but I’m not going to return it. It’ll do the trick I guess. But I’d probably buy the next model up if I had to do it over again.

It doesn’t come with the different mixing arms as shown in the video and that’s the only reason I bought this. I hate the hassle of returns, so I’ll keep it, but the beaters are not sturdy at all. Disappointed, KitchenAid.

I was really disappointed, especially for a $40 mixer. The motor was "grindy," the speed switch was loose and cheap, the beaters were thin & flimsey, arrived bent out of the box and unbalanced, so they wobbled badly. The part of the case under the silver band has a razor sharp edge exposed that could easily cut skin. Really bad quality overall. Sent it back and found another that had the best ratings, was $10 less and has 10 speeds, a much smoother and more powerful motor, a tight, precision speed switch, came with heavy duty stainless steel beaters and dough hooks, and it came with a stand.

Got this as a gift for my significant other and she seems to love it. I asked her how satisfied she is with the speed because most of the reviews say that it is too slow. She told me that she has no problems with the speed because it does start up slower than other hand mixers but there is a speed boost button to crank up the power in a pinch. She says that she starts it off on the lower speed in the beginning of mixing then eventually cranks up the speed. Also, I asked her if any of the batter gets flung around or if the mixer causes a mess and she said that it hasn't caused anything like that yet. So based on the responses I received from the person who actually uses this, it seems to be a pretty good mixer.

For the same price you can get the 7-speed Cuisine Art which is a lot more powerful and three times longer warranty. I was extremely disappointed with how underpowered this mixer is. For the price I expected way more and I returned it to Amazon without any hassles.

I bought this to replace a recently purchased Oster hand mixer that broke after minimal use. This Kitchenaid hand mixer is lighter, quieter and the low speed is truly low speed. I took one star off because the beaters seem to wobble a bit when in use. Fortunately, the attachments from my Oster fit, which means I can still use the whisk and heavier beaters that came with it. Looking forward to many years of mixing it up!

I also love the red colour. It goes with my large red Kitchenaid stand mixer.

Conforme con mi compra, lo adquirí a un súper precio (creo que estaba de promoción). Es más ligera y pequeña de lo que imaginaba, lo cual la hace más cómoda para usar. No es muy ruidosa tampoco. Ciertamente no tiene mucha potencia, sin embargo cumple su función, en mi caso, yo la necesitaba como complemento para batir claras, royal icing o masas ligeras cuando tuviera ocupada la batidora de pedestal. Yo adicionalmente tengo una Artisan. Pero si es tu primera y única batidora, quizá debas reconsiderar adquirir una de mayor potencia.

This is very disappointing for a KitchenAid product. It is terribly underpowered and the beaters are too short. This is only a lite duty hand mixer. Do not even attempt batter. I would NOT buy this except for very light cooking projects. Don't even think of making cookies with this. Go with something else. This does NOT live up to its name or the other reviews.
