Not worth the plastic it's made from- don't buy this mixer!

Purchased this for my son & his new bride. Used it when I went down for their wedding first person to use it - and was completely disappointed with it. It has NO power - I ended up whipping cream for a dessert with their Ninja. I'm 3 states away, and not in a position to orchestrate a return; but I would If I could. I've apologized to them for this awful gift, and advised them to get rid of it. I'll end up buying them some other mixer, since this is such a worthless pile of plastic. Never thought I'd have to say that about a Kitchen Aid product!! Save yourself some trouble and disappointment, and purchase some other hand mixer.

A multi speed mixer that actually has different speeds

I've had this mixer for 6 months now. I use it for light or quick mixing jobs. I still use my stand mixer for jobs i want to walk away from while mixing but it is heavy and kept under my sink. I like using this mixer for mashed potatoes, which I mix while still in the pot I cook them in. It took a minute for me to catch on to insterting the mixer blades as each have a particular side they fit in. I'm getting a house ready for my friend who is coming home from Pakistan after living there serving in the medical field and will be in quarantine for 2 weeks. I came back to Amazon to get this mixer for her. It's a good value for the money.

You know the name...Kitchen Aid is obviously top of the line. I have the "big" mixer and use it for everything. Now, for the "light" work I can use this "little" one. Don't kid yourself either, this is just as much a powerhouse as the other one. It won't do bread or cookie dough, but that's why I have the stand mixer. This one is great for cake batter, pancake batter, whipped butter..all the lite stuff. It's 5 speed and unfortunately only comes with the whisk, but other accessories are available. Thanks Amazon for carrying Kitchen Aid.

Slow and slower. It is far too slow to make fluffy frosting or meringues. Tried using it to beat egg whites for macarons but it never really got passed the soft peak stage. Had to resort to transferring to a stand mixer to finish the job. Then there was the frosting. While the mixer did a great job of mixing the butter and sugar without throwing it all over the kitchen, the speed was again too slow to fluff out the frosting. Once again, had to transfer to stand mixer to finish the job.

Trying to make my best friend a birthday cake. this blender makes a weird sound..sounds like something is loose inside and it had difficulty mixing 2 cups of flour properly. It was struggling a lot while it was mixing. I think i got a bad/broken one since there are so many good reviews, and i can't even return it because i was stupid enough to crave my name on it before trying it for the first time!!! so frustrating!!!!!

I got this KitchenAid 5 speed mixer in White and I'm really liking it for the price on sale for $49.99 right now. It does the job for any light baking tasks that I need (beating egg whites, making cookies, etc.) wayyyy better than the crappy Dash one I purchased prior to this for almost the same price.

I haven't tried it for any tougher doughs like pizza or bagels, but I'm going to wait for my stand mixer to make those.. I don't think you should use a hand mixer for those.

The only thing I knocked off one star for is that one of the whisks takes more time to put on, I'm not sure why but it happens every time. I end up playing around twisting it in different ways for like 15 seconds before it actually locks in place.
