~Looks attractive and coordinates with my other KitchenAid appliances.
~Features turntable, under light, different fan speeds, blue digital readout.
~Noisy during regular cooking -- it automatically blows the vent at the top which is what makes the noise.
~Doesn't have easy to use 'express' buttons like my former microwave (ie. Press '1' for one minute, '2' for two minutes and so on...)
The express features it does have seem rather complicated and I don't see myself using them. (They feature scrolling text across the screen saying things like 1 - meat, 2 - fish, etc. The scrolling is slow and annoying). It does have a '30 second' button, popcorn, dinner plate, etc.
~Has this weird feature where you have to keep pressing 'Off' before you do the next procedure. Annoying extra step.
~Black panel shows fingerprints easily. Stainless steel is also hard to keep clean, but I knew that going in.
~Defrost seems complicated -- it asks whether it's a fish or a meat, etc. What if it's not any of those things?
So far it cooks evenly, quickly but doesn't have the convection function. Fan is loud on high, but quieter than our 15 year old Maytag microwave. The fan on low it's very pleasant and pulls the moisture out well enough. I did vent this unit out the house which seems to help too.
Issues with the door switch, it tells me that that the door is open while it is obviously closed. Had to replace the switch.
Now, this thing is already dead (no power). Worst appliance i've had. This thing is only a little more than a year old.
