Hard to Clean, Color absorption, Works like a Spatula.
I purchased this Spatula in Aqua because it was pretty. The pretty only lasted through about 2 uses making eggs, because the Spatula began to yellow at the edge. It is durable, however, and does its job. The construction of the Spatula seems quite durable after a couple months of owning it. It is incredibly difficult to clean, as everything sticks to the edges and build up. If you are looking for an easier to clean choice, go with a Silicone Spatula, not Nylon. Nylon is like a magnet for food buildup I have learned. Summary: If you are getting the pretty colors don't expect them to last. If you want a durable spatula in general, and dont mind a little more cleaning work, this is a fine choice.

This is my second purchase of this turner. The first one melted because I used it in really really hot oil. I purchased this because others just couldn't compare. The fact that this is hard plastic makes it a great choice. It does not melt with normal use, like cooking eggs, or even mixing food in a wok. It has the perfect hardness to break down food while cooking, like making chunks of chicken smaller. Unlike some other comments I've read, it doesn't chip or start peeling. Just don't put it in boiling oil like I did or it will melt.

Overall, this is a great choice compared to the other choices out there.

How excited can someone get about a spatula? If you're me, pretty excited. I just started cooking a lot as part of a major workout program I started eight weeks ago. I'm using a George Foreman Grill, which you can't use metal on because it will scratch the non-stick. I had 2-3 spatulas around my house and with all of them I struggled either to get the meat on the spatula without falling because its shape wasn't right or it wasn't firm enough to support a heavier piece of meat, like a big steak. With this Kitchenaid product, I've had a completely easy time with the grill now. If I had started with it, perhaps I would have taken it for granted, but in comparison its great. Its so good I took it overseas with me on a one-month trip to use to cook.

Its sturdiness is comparable to the nylon spatula I have with a metal handle. It stands up to stirring/serving anything I need it to and doesn't bend every which way when I go to scrub it after using. I do put it in the dishwasher in the silverware rack and it does just fine. Looking for a spoon counterpart now.

However, It doesn't hold up when left in the pan and you forget to turn off the burner even over medium heat it quickly becomes a misshapen gooey mess (as would be expected) and thus why I needed a replacement.

These turners (I bought two) are better than most, but still leave a lot to be desired. The handles are definitely not heat resistant and will soon have melted bars across them if you place them on the edge of the frying pan. However, I love the shape and feel of the handles and the overall heft of the turners. They work well, eggs seem to stick to these somewhat less than other turners. That said, why is it that they can make non-stick pans and can't make non-stick turners??? But that's a question for another day. These are worth the money and I'd buy them again, just be careful when using them. I would've given them 4 stars, even with the handle melting problem, if they were just non-stick.
