I just installed this microwave, ignoring the bad feedback. It was for our cabin so not going to be used much at all. I mounted it, it looked pretty good, plugged it in and inserted a cup of water. Keyed in 30 seconds and it turned on with a grinding sound, then turned itself off. I then checked the carbon filter, to make sure there wasn't something stuck in the fan-- it was clear. Put the cover back on, tried again and "GRIND-POP" sparks came out of the front and the whole thing went dead. I am here three weeks later waiting for the repair guy to come out. DO NOT BUY THIS MICROWAVE- IT IS A BAD DESIGN. I AM A PRODUCT DESIGNER BY PROFESSION. The mounting bolt is 1/2" away from the main power supply and is bare metal to metal, it is very dangerous. I am going to try an get it repaired because I waited too long to install and cannot return it. I am going to insulate the mounting bolts- and go through the whole side next to the magnetron, there is a big capacitor powering it-- so I would NOT advise anyone try this unless very comfortable with electricity. Clearly the magnetron is bad-- right out of the BOX. JUNK. Total JUNK.
