I just used it on my Suede Jessica Simpson shoes and it is worked wonderfully! You do have to be patient it is not going to work in five minutes. Also if you wear socks it helps stretch the shoes even better. TIP do not be shy about getting your shoe very wet. it is not going to damage your shoes. While its wet it will look darker but once its dry there is no sign of anything on your shoe. Also do not use only on the inside I sprayed the outside of my shoes and i do think it even worked better than the inside.
Again be patient! I could not even put my feet inside my JS shoes they were so narrow at the toe box. The first day I sprayed freely and wore them with socks... it was so painful my feet were numb so I wore them for 15 minutes here and 15 minutes there through out the day.. My feet were in pain since the shoes were so tight I think they swelled up a bit. The next day when my feet were not swollen or in pain I tried the shoes on and VOILA my right foot fit like a glove (or like a shoe should) my left foot is slightly bigger so all my shoes are a bit more snug on that foot. So I repeated the process just spraying the left shoe for about an hour in the morning and an hour at night. Today (3rd day) I am walking around with both shoes and I could not be happier! Patience people patience!
***UPDATE: After successfully stretching my suede shoes I have moved on to the leather ones.. and this time it did take only five minutes!! I used it in my franco sarto shoes and I was so happy! Same thing my feet would even feet before but I sprayed and put some socks and my foot went right in! yaaay for kiwi!!
Easy and it WORKS PERFECTLY!! Very happy! One foot is BIGGER than the other so it is Easier to stretch that one the but I need rather than buy a Bigger shoe that slips off the smaller foot! Then shies start to stretch on their own Anyway! Great product!
I read through the reviews on this product before purchasing. They helped me narrow down my purchase from a boot stretcher and stretching spray to just the spray since I could always buy the stretcher later and try again. After trying the product I won't be needing that boot stretcher!
I've got a pair of medieval boots that were ordered online in the right size but have been too tight from day one. Since the leather was stiff I figured they'd soften with wear. The only thing that began to soften were my feet because the boots sure weren't breaking in. I was ready to give up and buy a larger pair but figured one last attempt would be better than spending a lot of money a second time.
I tried this spray the day it arrived. Following the instructions I sprayed it inside the boots in the places that needed to loosen up, pretty much the entire interior of the shoe. I put on a pair of socks that were slightly thicker than the thin linen pair I had been able to wear in them before. Even that was a huge success though the shoes were very tight still. After the spray dried I slipped them off, sprayed them again and layered on a second pair of socks. I needed the shoes to loosen enough that I can wear my wool hose in them. The second treatment gave me that space!
I wore the boots all day for the first time this past weekend and for the first time my feet were comfortable and my socks weren't pulled into the boot by simply walking. For the first time in more than a year I actually loved my boots.
The only part of the boots that didn't soften quite enough was the ankle section. It did soften but not quite enough to be truly comfortable attempting to drive in them but I'm going to give the spray another try on that section. This spray is excellent!
I liked that it worked but I had to spray from the outside not the inside like the directions said. You cannot work the nozzle from the inside of most shoes and it smells awful. But it did soften the leather. I hope I didn’t damage the leather but so far it looks ok.
I have ankles and calves that have been getting swollen (pretty significantly) lately, so I have all these boots and booties and I have been unable to wear many of them. Even the so called "wide calf" boots I have ordered either won't go past my ankle (which is also puffy), or I can only manage to zip maybe 1/3 to 1/2 up. This has been so disappointing to me--I have such lovely outfits with the exact shade boots/booties to match up the whole look (I even have coats in every color so I match that, too, and I even match my underwear to everything else--I know, TMI, but you have to know it killed me to have an outfit I want to put on, and the boot doesn't fit). Gotta change out everything. So I have more swelling on my right leg than my left--it's gotten even over 18 inches at times, and the left is about 17. So I thought I'd give this a try. I have 5 or 6 pairs of boots I love but can't fit, but have been saving in case the swelling goes down. Pulled out my favorite two pairs, sprayed the hell out the inside of them according to directions, put the boots on as far as they would go, and very slowly, was able to advance zipper a little higher each time. After a few hours, these boots are on my feet, zipped ALL the way to the top, and I'm afraid to take them off--I know they're not going to shrink back, but I have waited so long to be able to wear these. Will be buying more. Just saturate entire inside of boot, especially around zippers, get them on as well as you can, and patiently go about your business remembering to pull up the zipper a little more. Took about 3 hours or so? Amazing!!! Extremely happy customer! When I read the negative reviews, I really think those people must not have completely followed directions--I mean I got probably TWO (2) inches on that right calf! Also, these directions seem geared to leather, my boots are mostly not real leather or suede--they're vegan, but this is working anyway! Now I would be afraid to get the solution on the outside of the shoe--smells pretty strong--maybe would discolor? BUY IT--IT WORKS!
YOU CAN USE IT IN A NEW PAIR OF BOOTS OR SHOES AND IT WORKS RIGHT AWAY AND PROTECT YOUR (FEET) STILL NOT WEAR THEM FOR A LONG TIME JUST IN CASE BUT IT WILL HAVE AN EFFECT FOR SURE !
