I'm not musical at all so take this with a grain of salt. My wife plays for fun so she just has beginner violins and uses the bows that come with them. I had heard the finer bows were made of Pernambuco or carbon fiber and looked around for some. I ordered this because it was priced so low compared to other bows and my wife likes it. Side by side it's a lot better in materials and construction compared to cheap bows that come with beginner violins. Side by side with higher end bows you can tell it's not in the same league but well it's fine for my wife's purpose of just playing for fun. She had a club she plays together with and they go to places like senior citizen centers and places like that.

Very well balanced, sounds wonderful. Easy to adjust screw to any desired tension. (Stiff screws were a problem with other cheap bows I've had.) Sounds even nicer than my Codabow Diamond. Definitely worth a try.

I've been playing for about 6 years--the bow meets my needs for a backup violin that I have. It would probably be fine for my primary bow which costs about 4 times as much
