I wasn't too happy with the 'Stock' photo Amazon had here, so I uploaded my own to give you an idea of what their real size is like, make sure you check them out, this is really a nice tool to have and you won't regret it once you purchase it.
Overall, I would recommend this tool to friends with an A+!.
P.S Always buy products sold or fulfilled by 'Amazon' you just can't go wrong with the returns if anything ever goes south.
I recently bought some Polk speakers. I normally just buy the complete system that comes with everything I needed. The Polk speakers to my suprise didn't come with wires, so I had to buy a spool, and obviously needed something to cut it with.
These wire cutters slice through the wire easily. It also has a good spot to remove the coating off the wire. I got 14 gauge wire and these wire cutters work perfectly.
When I originally bought the tool I used it for cutting 50 pair cables on down without issue. After I stopped being a tech I continued to use the tool from everything from a wire stripper, wire and rope cutter, pliers (it has a plier head), to even cutting machinist wire, nails, and smaller bolts with it.
After over 11 years of use (6 of which heavy) the spring still has tension and I can still strip wires from 20 to 10 gauge effectively as well as be used with practice to strip coax efficiently. I sort of did in the cutting mechanism so it is not as sharp by cutting bolts and nails with it.. but I can still cut most cables with little effort.
The handles have a wider portion on the outer edge to give you more force when cutting the solid wires, I find it fits my hands well, I wear large size gloves and this tool is not a problem to use, plenty sharp. It’s designed range is 10-20 AWG for both solid and stranded and that’s what I use it for.
On the negative side, there’s no mechanism to lock the tool closed. While this isn’t necessary, it would be nicer to have when I stuff this in a carry bag to lower the risk of the sharp teeth snagging on and accidentally cutting something.
I like that they work well, that they are made in the USA and meet my needs.
5 stars, I really love mine and use them weekly.
Other than that the product came and everything looks good. Nice feel in my hands and nice spring. I haven't used them in the field as I actually bought these to give away so I don't know but based on what I have already and these two I received I don't anticipate an issue. As I stated you must be aware that it's metric before you buy and it needs to reflect in the image and product description on Amazon.

Works exactly as a cutter and stripper should. The spring mechanism really helps out disengaging the tool from the wire you are stripping or cutting. Read morePublished 17 days ago by Daniel Ames
I've used many strippers and wire cutters over the years. This is by far the most convenient and easy to use. I have purchased several so there is always one near by.Published 4 months ago by tom
