Since I bought this Klein backpack tool bag 8-months ago...I have a slot for every common tool any telecom/datacom tech would ever need. It is very easy & natural to carry...and extremely functional. I highly recommend it to anyone who works in the field.
very good when climbing to get to work area ladders ,scaffolding ,etc
great quality. UPDATE 2017 should have updated this about 6 months after use I never really used backpack unless I was working on rooftops or tall scaffolding mostly only when I had to climb ladders to get to work area mainly stayed locked in my Klein gang box.Over all the bag is quality built but I filled all the pockets on inside of bag and zipped it it zipped but as I had on my back climbing ladder the zipper busted out I contacted Klein instead of seller because Klein has always stood by their products in the past. They would not repair or replace the faulty zipper the reason I have taken away two ☆☆'s all I can say is don't fill up all the pockets with a tool and you should be fine it's still a quality product zipper just sucks.
Oh yeah, I got mine from Home Network Supply and it shipped very fast.
4 box wrenches, crescent wrench, multi screwdriver, 2 flashlights, wooden ruler, 6" digital caliper, protractor, portable stroboscope, laser temp gun, 600A clamp on meter, 2 tape measures 1 large 1 small, Large handheld scale, ear plugs, safety glasses, gloves, locks, lock out clamps, scotch brite pads, 2 rags, several misc items, pens, markers.
Though it all fit within the available slots I found it to be a bit full overall. Knowing I needed to carry samples in the same bag I opted for a different bag (CLC 1134). In the end it is a great quality bag but just not large enough for what I needed. Thinking I do not carry much I soon realized I carry more than I though. I like the bag and wanted the bag, however, needed more space.
Overall - A great product and great seller - As usual with Klein the product is high quality and has many options. It is a great bag for the smaller/med set of tools needed. You can carry all the essentials and a little extra in this backpack/bag. In addition the bottom of the bag has a rubber cap on it that is excellent for protection from the dirty elements and helps stand it upright.
The seller was very responsive, shipped quickly, and described all properly. I will be going back to this seller when needing other related items.
After reading many reviews of both, and noticing that the AWP backpacks were falling apart after a while, I decided to go with this one. I can have it sent up the tower without worrying that the bottom is going to fall out and have heavy tools drop from elevations over 100'. I keep two large carabiners on the top handles, and clip it off wherever I am. If you're going to be clipping your bag off to something that people walk under, I suggest you get carabiners that are rated (at least 1kN).
As far as size, and organization this tool bag is better than any other tool bag I've had. I don't have to have a bunch of tools just laying at the bottom of the bag. There's a space for every one of them. I do keep my sockets in a bag at the bottom along with my digital level and hammer, but all of my other tools fit in a pocket of some sort.
The bag is heavy with all of the tools, probably a little more heavy than my husky bag, but not by much. It definitely feels more durable than my husky bag.
