I haven’t hit it once so no negative impact. :). Initial look: tough and functional. It’s a little oily but it’s not rusted (that goes together). Appears ready for high impact work. I will test it on a few nasty screws/bolts and let you know.
I use these at my work for breaking screws loose that are rusted into metal boxes along railroad tracks. It works great for those screws on brake rotors the factory uses. Made in USA. My only problem is, it comes with 4 bits. 2 flathead bits and 2 phillips. The phillips bits are P2 and P4. Why no P3? This is the most common size for a medium screw! (1/4, 5/16, etc.) It's far more likely you'll need this tool to break a P3 loose rather than a P2. I don't think I've ever seen a P4. Be sure to buy a couple of P3 bits because inexplicably, they left them out. And they're not the usual 1/4" hex-drive, they're larger 5/16" drive. You'll probably have to order them. Should be included for the price. Otherwise great.
Needed this to do a brake job on my Honda. Im so glad i did as even with the tool it took quite a few impacts to loosen the rusty rotor screw. Cant imagine if i would have been able to take the screw off without this impact!
American made. Easier to use than not American made versions. Also, no question into which way the driver will turn on impact. My previous one left me wondering what direction it would turn on impact.
Very high quality product. Works very well. A must for tough and tricky screws to unlock that would otherwise being stripped if you would be using a regular screw driver and a wrench to force them loose. Not a tool that you would be using every day unless you are a professional mechanic but that you will be glad you have when the need arise.
this is a good quality tool that is built to last. there are two things that are needed to make it a great tool.(1) a better selection of different bits(2) this tool should come in a hard case,it comes in a plastic sleeve.
