Great incline angle gage

Great incline angle gage
It first turns on in absolute mode to check the surface. You can then set this as a reference by touching the on button again and it will zero to the surface you are referencing. Then put it onto the surface you want to incline and adjust to get the desired angle. Resolution to 0.1 degrees is much better than I can get with my protractor type scales. Seems reproducible. I was making an icosahedron (see pic), and needed the angle perfect or it wouldn't assemble correctly (60 complex angle cuts). It worked great. I was able to cut out the 20 triangles and they all fit great together. also used it to set angle on jointer fence. reads easy, but magnet is only on the bottom surface. the four sides are all square so it can be held in place on the other 3 surfaces. Also has a V surface for pipe and conduit. Does not work horizontally and shows "ERR" when laid flat-makes sense. This unit runs on 2 AAA batteries. It had the least negative reviews of the units I was considering. I am happy with this purchase and recommend it highly.

    Almost a 5 star but I did have trouble reading it in certain bright light conditions. I attached it to a level and it really helps to get an accurate and consistent level percentage when doing slopes. If i could improve this item I would give it an angled LCD view so that i could see it when I am above it better. I had to keep bringing my head down to see it. This makes a difference when using it near the ground. I used it to form slopes with concrete and i wanted a high level of accuracy which i did get. These really work nice for zeroing out a table saw blade for ultimate accuracy.
