I bought a pair of these twice; once in 2013 and again in 2015. The product I bought in 2013 was decent and as described. It seems that since then they're cashing out on their 5 star rating. Of the pair most recently purchased, one of the brackets was level, the other was pitched towards the wall substantially. I tried to bend it a bit and the cross-piece fell out. It hadn't a single weld holding it in place; in fact, it seems the UPC stickers were strategically placed to hide the lack of welds. The cross-pieces were of different lengths. Because I would only be using this once or twice as part of a theatrical prop of sorts I decided to make it work by hammering it level and extending the cross-piece's slot to account for its greater length. I was able to lengthen the slot using a dremel and a cheap cut-off wheel, the kind that typically shatter when so much as glanced at. The dremel cut through it, and the seemingly titanium colored paint, easily thereby belying the claim that it is made principally of titanium. Claiming that it can support 1200lbs is criminally negligent.

Bah...Humbug. The price is ok, (downright cheap) but clearly you get what you pay for. I can flex the outboard bolt extensions with my hands. Not robust enough for my use. So, please don't let the "1200 pound capacity when properly installed as a pair" statement mislead you as it did me. Also, I've heard that the diagonal support braces fail at the welds. Looking at them,I can see how this is true. The welds were tacked at only one spot at each attachment point. I would not trust a couple of these to support any load over a couple of hundred pounds. I recommend you stay clear of these unless your loads are appropriate and evenly distributed.

I bought six of these brackets, and because they are all out of square I wondered if this is by design. Be aware that when installed, the horizontal arm (the longer arm) will pitch towards the wall. I guess if the shelf will be carrying a lot of weight, this could be advantageous. On the other hand, if you need a true 90 degree bracket, look elsewhere.

Used these and the 22" and 12" sizes in a new 2-car garage for several things, one, of course, as shelf supports!

They are super strong, and even the angled bracket support is useful for hanging additional items or sliding long poles and conduit stock thru to store.

In the garage we try to get as much "stuff" overhead out of the way, and I used pairs of these overhead on the center rafters, as high as possible. I bolted them back-to-back with the rafter in between, using a bolt-nut combos. These are very strong, and hold the bicycles out of the way overhead, and not on the floor or hung on the valuable wall space, where they are still "in the way". I spaced these "pairs" the proper width apart (using 4 brackets in total) so the bicycle tire rims fit perfectly, with BOTH front and back tire hanging on the brackets, with the bike overhead HORIZONTALLY. With that setup, and the brackets mounted as high on the rafter as possible, the bikes are well above our heads out of the way.

I also used some for the normal use of shelving brackets, out of the way again, higher on the side walls, along the sides of the garage doors, just about the height of the door track. This would have been wasted space, but now holds storage bins for seasonal use stuff just right.

I used the brackets to install shelves all the way around my garage. They worked great and I load them up and don't worry about them falling. I would and probably will be buying more for my man cave.

We needed shelving and lots of it. At the same time we had to be certain that they would be strong enough to display a valuable collection. These brackets not only got the job done they did so woithout breaking our renovations budget. Just as note they were every bit as solid and well-made as comparable brackets available at the big box stores at half the price.

The bracket is strong, well made and comes with a painted finish. Pre-drilled holes are also present (3 to the wall and 3 to the top) allowing for quick installation and attachment of shelving. These are used in my tool room as supports and through the centre support of the bracket I have even placed lengths of PVC for easy access. Based on the look of the bracket, I would say it is good for garage and workshop applications were for in a home something more stylish and less plain would be desired.

The technical details states the bracket is 17x13x4.5 inches. The bracket I received is approx 15.5 x 10 x 1 3/8 inches. I couldn't find any dimension that matched that description. If you subtract 2.5-3 inches from each measurement, it would be about right.

I'm using these for a bench on my commercial charter boat. I need the shelf side to be between 12 and 14 inches. I believe the bracket would work if it were the right dimensions.

1 star because I depended on the the description and now I'm unable to have benches for my customers this weekend.
