These are moderate compression socks with graduated compression, designed to increase blood circulation and prevent swelling. Ideal for people who are on their feet all day (nurses, postal workers, police), travelers, or even those who are seditary (office workers). Perfect for the cost conscious consumer who still wants relief from tired aching feet! If you are into sports we recommend trying out our Coolmax even compression socks which will be better at wicking moisture and helping prevent blisters.

p.s. about washing...I wash with my regular laundry, try to line dry. However, I've put them in the dryer and they come out fine. While it may lessen the life of the socks, they don't shrink in the dryer.
5/1/14 and I just bought another pair...trying the pink for summer. socks are a little warm when the temperature is high (95 degrees or so today) but it is much better than coming home with huge swollen ankles.
9/19/14...hate pink. One of the navy is starting to show wear at the heel. Ordering another couple of pairs. These, for me, are the best of the bunch of compression socks.
I was looking for cotton compression socks in dark colors.
I ordered one set black, one set navy. The navy ones made my shins break out with some red spots and itch the first two times I wore them--and I had washed them in my normal detergent. now ok.
Both black pairs developed runs from the toes after a few times wearing them--the navy ones to this day do not have any runs.
The support is still there!
