"Chris' myofascial release techniques coupled with what can be described as biomechanical reprogramming combine for a treatment modality that is less invasive than injections or surgery, while also providing better long-term results than even the most aggressive physical therapy plans. To anyone out there using chronic pain as a crutch to limit exercise I challenge you to use what you find in this book prior to succumbing to injections or surgery." -Chad Boatman DO Emergency Medicine
"The methods in this book helped save my career after suffering a partially torn ACL, and fully torn MCL during the last game of the 2011-2012 season. The guidance he provides in this book to me is invaluable!" -Davone Bess, Former NFL Wide Receiver

Recently I sustained my second knee injury while training Brazilian Jui-Jitsu. This time, all of the methods of rehabilitation I had used previously were not able to help me recover fully.
After reading through ton's of reviews and looking through all of the previews of the most popular knee rehabilitation books I came across this book. In the book, the author discusses the underlying cause of nearly every type of pain.
The best part is that he identifies why injuries that feel like they are specific to one part of the body can be caused by more systematic/global issues then you would suspect.
Specifically, the author talks about how the structures of the body, including the bones, tendons, ligaments and fascia work together with the nervous system to produce pain free movement. In this multi part system, it is often the fascia and it's supporting tissues that is cause the pain most people identify as (joint, muscle, ligament, tendon etc....) pain.
I was blown away by the knowledge in this book. This book filled many of the gaps in my knowledge about the way tissues imbalances and compensations can cause problems that we identify as "joint pain, stiffness or a lack of strength and stability".
After reading this book I became interested enough to purchase some of the authors other books. I am putting the material from both books into practice and am excited to have have the prospect of a full recovery back on the table.
What is even more exciting is the idea that I can remediate some of the imbalances in my body so that I can become even more resilient over time.
If you are stuck in your current rehabilitation program and not making progress, or if you are unable to improve chronic pain, this is the book for you. It will give you answers.
