When her friend Chloe takes her to a BDSM club in the name of research, Kirsten not only was stressed about the article, but now is stressed about going back to the club that she was a regular at. Not having told Chloe that she was a regular, she has a hard time hiding how the scenes are affecting her. She misses it and only left when a scene mishap drove her to leave the lifestyle altogether.
Her and Chloe relax and take in the ambiance until the Dungeon Monitor that they hope to interview turns out to be Eddie from work. He's a guy Kirsten has been secretly crushing on since he hired in. What is he doing here?? It blows her mind that he is a Dom.
When Eddie helps with her research and she gets a taste of what she's been missing, she wonders how she's gone without it. But she has fears. What if what happened before, happens again??? Is Kirsten strong enough to face her fears?? Is Eddie the Dom that can break through those fears and give Kirsten her life back that she's always missed??
Although this is a short book, it's jam packed with action! I loved Kirsten and she really is stronger than she believes. Eddie is a great Dom for her. He's kind and compassionate and takes his time to help her work through her fears. I really enjoyed the book and I was intrigued from start to finish! If you are looking for a little something to fill the void in between longer reads, give this a try! You won't be disappointed!

This book was gifted to me by the Jeep Diva for the express purpose of an honest review. The rating and review are solely my opinion and in no way was I compensated.
The storyline is good but seemed to end very abruptly. I think there is a lot more story there, but it felt rushed. There is an epilogue, but it didn’t really give too much info and really could have just been another chapter.
Overall it’s a wonderful story. One thing I would like to point out and I think is VERY important is that the main character didn’t throw her former Dom under a bus. Kirsten had a bad experience and took equal responsibility in the turn out. This is a breath of fresh air and I just love the way it’s written. Kirsten is on a journey she had no intention of taking, to reawaken a piece of her soul that she didn’t realize she missed so much.

Eddie happens to be a dungeon monitor at the club Kirsten's friend Chloe brings her to and when he speaks with her, she decides to let him give her a spanking. Once Eddie gets into administering Kirsten's spanking, all her submissive feelings come back to remind her that she really does want to try being a submissive again.
I loved how understanding and gentle Eddie was when re-introducing Kirsten to being a submissive.
I got my HEA TOO!
