Why is it always the man that marries and has 3 wonderful children with another woman, whilst the h is left widowed and barren? In this case the h married a man 25 years her senior. Just for once I'd like to see the h with 3 children having been deeply loved, while the H has reaped what he sowed. Anyway.
These stories always leave me a bit angry.
I liked the h from the start, but as the story progressed I disliked the H. SPOILER - SPOILER - our couple have history from 12 years ago. They were in love and then he gave it all up to further his career and never looked back. He meets up with our h again and she doesn't care that he has a 3 children, from a deceased wife. I never felt a connection to this couple because of this and their was no romance. We are to figure their love carried over from 12 years ago. Well, it didn't work for me. END OF SPOILER
The writing is good and it had intrigue and suspense, but because their wasn't a connection for me I didn't enjoy their journey of 2nd chances
There is very mild lovemaking, outside of marriage. We do get HEA, but I really didn't care. (ljb)
