Editorial Reviews

Review

This sequel to Hunter Hammersen s delightful The Knitter s Curiosity Cabinet features a collection as light and airy as the 19th century butterfly prints which inspired it. Hunter presents an encore that takes flight with delicate resonance.

----Anne Hanson, creator of knitspot.com and founder of Bare Naked Wools

Prepare to be enthralled as Hunter Hammersen opens the doors of The Knitter s Curiosity Cabinet once again. Inside we find a beautiful collection of vintage butterfly illustrations and the treasure-trove of richly detailed knitting designs they inspired. Hunter clearly delights in distilling elements of nature into unique stitch patterns and graceful forms. Her joy is infectious and can be felt with every stitch.

----Sandra McIver, author and publisher of knit, Swirl! Uniquely Flattering One Piece, One Seam Swirl Jackets

As a dyer, I am thrilled to see handpainted yarns used to such beautiful effect in Hunter's new book. As a designer, I appreciate the quality and creativity of her designs. As a knitter, I want to make them all!

About the Author

Hunter Hammersen didn't really like knitting the first time she tried it. She didn't much care for it the second time either. It wasn't till the third time, and the discovery of knitted socks, that she was properly smitten. Once she realized she could make up her own patterns, her fate was sealed. She's been busy designing ever since.
