Knitter's Pride Dreamz line is made from densified laminated birch wood, more costly and much harder than ebony or rosewood. The line is offered in a full range of 11 radiant colors. A color has been assigned to each size and that color carries through in all the needle styles: straight, circular (fixed and interchangeable), double points and crochet hooks. Imagine how this will aid in organizing your collection.

Dreamz - Knitters Pride
~~Made in India and very well made. Are they Perfect? No but what is. The join on one of mine somewhat snags but not enough to matter. The wood is sturdy and the cords have little memory. this means a lot to me. I have some boye and other brand fixed and even after boiling water and dipping the cord in it still holds memory.
~~They are color coded for size. They also have the size written on the wood part but I am sure that will wear away at some point. they also have a size in the metal at the bottom of the actual needle.
~~Even without using the "Key" they stay connected.
~~ there is a wide range of cord sizes... like 16'
~~ I have heard they have excellent customer service but have not had to deal with that yet.
~~ Price is right. the price on here is the cheapest I have found. My LYS wanted 70.00 for the set :/
~~the wood tends to be grippy so great for silky yarns
~~one of my joins snags
~~Sometimes the color coded wood can cause conflict.. example: I was working with black wool that needed a 7 needle- the size 7 needle is also black. I just went and got a Nova 7 to use lol so not a big deal but could be
So why didn't I buy the KnitPicks Harmony's you ask? Well here is why..
1. They are now made in Chine and have quality issues. If you go with them make sure they package has made in India on the back!!!!
2. They do not have the size written on them.... enough said
3. the cords seem to be more likely to hold memory
4. They are not available on Amazon
If you are thinking I can just order them from Ebay...Well let me take the time to point something out for you. If you look at the companies warranty policy they say... they do not cover ones bought from Ebay. So buyer beware.
Now If I could afford a set of Signatures I would.. I also plan on getting a set of Nova's since the cables/accessories will work on both.
I've only had time to try out two sets thus far and so I am hoping that nothing is actually wrong with them, I don't plan on returning them. Though, seriously: Shame on you Amazon! Don't sell us something as NEW and send instead a repackaged thing. This is only the second time in all my many many purchases from here that this has happened and even though it's only happened twice over a period of however many years, it's still: VERY. not. cool.
I plan on updating this if I think of it and or if something else is wrong. Or if they send me condolences or an appolgy. Ugh, I so wanted brand new needles. I hope when I someday order the metal counter part to this set, the same thing doesn't happen to me (or anyone else if the same sitch should come up).
The needles themselves, I can't recommend highly enough. But since this is an Amazon purchase I had to let buyers know. Let me know if there is a better place to warn you about Amazon resells. I'm not aware if there is such a forum. The needles are almost like knitting with nothing. The yarn practically loads it's stitches back onto the needles as you go...it's insanely pleasant. It's cut my knitting time in half...at least it feels like it has (I didn't time myself). My hands are so glad I bought this upgrade, I assure you if you're using clover, tulip or even metal fixed circulars these are going to blow your knitting mind.
PS My spell check is not working for some crazy reason so please ignore spelling mistakes if there are some.
Update: I got this via Prime but just checked the seller info it was: Arts Crafts USA. Buyer beware. Here's what they said next to the product:
"Authorized Knitter's Pride Dealer; product guaranteed to be new, unopened and with all original packaging materials intact. Purchase qualifies for all original manufacturer's warranties; details included in the listing comments."
