My only complaint is that the print is small and it is very dull. I
can cope with that situation but I am afraid that other people with serious
eye issues might have a problem. I am thinking of getting one of those page magnifiers. My eyes are average for my age. Please don't let that
stop you. You can always xerox the page and print it out in a larger
font if it is a problem.
Please take up your knitting needles and do something for the cause.

The knitting patterns were clearly written and easily understood. There is a helpful index in the back of the book that explains not only the stitch abbreviations, but the different techniques and textures involved. There are also website links for getting started with charities and charity patterns. I was pleased to see that my favorite pattern resources were listed.
Overall, I would recommend this book to any knitter who wants to craft for charity purposes. I originally purchased the book because it was more cost effective than purchasing the two patterns I was looking for separately. I then discovered it had more patterns in it that expected. I have to say that I am delighted with it and so are some of my friends I craft with, as we all do volunteer work at various charity facilities. There are some lovely kitties and dogs at our local Humane Society that will love the Adopt Me blanket pattern in the book. :-) Definitely in my "must have" recommendations for the future!
The patterns are also very useful as a source to pass along. I have used the information and some patterns to teach two beginner knitter classes at my church as I was asked to head up getting our ward to make 100 blankets by September. This came soon after buying and reading!!

I'm taking off 1 star as the projects included in the book are nothing special. I know they need to be simple, given the concept of the book but I had expected a bit more in this regard.
