I love the essays. But what is the point of the directions for projects that are completely undefined? I guess if they were described somehow, I would be interested in reading directions to figure out details, but basically they need illustration to tempt me. If that would have been to costly, why not put thumbnail sketches on the dustcover, instead of balls of yarn?

I dont understand why this writer produced a book about knitting which is clearly anti knitting. few of the contributors have anything positive to say. we are dragged through their bad childhoods and bad experiences with knitting and relatives and whatever. One contributor even regales us with why she hats ALL knitters. If you love your craftand enjoy it dont be dragged down by this book. Give it a big miss. Save your money for some yummy wool.
