KNOX CASE is a HARD case,, IDEAL for preventing damage to these small voice recorders. short of submersion in water,, INCLUDING even SITTING on the case,, this will PROTECT YOUR INVESTMENT. Spending north of $70 requires a little more to protect your electronic tool. Can EASILY see putting a recorder in pocket OR on seat / chair THEN sitting and ^#@%#*(%)*%&^@#^% WHY DID I DO THAT? NO manufacturer or warranty is going to cover damage. Nylon finish easy to clean. Zipper closure. Best Features are ONE side having restraining strap across opening where RECORDER would sit,, the other side (TOP half) has FISHNET and restraining strap with a pocket for MEMORY Cards.. could fit TWO recorders in one case or ?? whatever. IF spending MORE for pocket recorder (some go into MID- $Hundreds for cost- REGARDLESS OF COST FOR RECORDER) the KNOX CASE in BEST PROTECTION YOU CAN BUY FOR SONY RECORDER or any small electronics, regardless of cost.

Used as General Contractor, an older Sony for over a decade (still have 30 yr + later) ,, great DAILY TOOL for taking notes while driving from one job site to another, OR any time when not convenient to write a note, dictate a memo or full letter, etc.. TODAY , this newer updated SONY pocket recorder is even better. SMALLER, lighter,,,,, more convenient.. the slide out USB for charging is especially useful , an OLED screen is easy to read EVEN without glasses (needed for reading)... USE is basically intuitive (admit to using MANY Sony products, from camera's to TV, Laptop (being used to do this review),... was so impressed, BOUGHT THREE MORE of THIS SAME MODEL and gave to each of my three children for birthday gifts (ALL in January- ages from 48 to 42, profession from contractor, IV nurse at hospital, and deputy sheriff).. thought they'd be able to use as gift rather than sending $$ as usual,,, buying FOUR qualifies as being favorably impressed, davzway

This case is for the second voice recorder I have and just purchased at the same time I bought this case. (I have a one generation back recorder and then found a case for it months later) I bought both together this time. Not only is this case the perfect size for the recorder to not fit so tightly around it but have room on the other side to add a back up battery and cord to charge this and not worry about it at home. It also holds a charging power cable for the recording device I purchased and zips closed entirely without force or feeling bulky. It’s as slim and a little smaller than my iPhone and if that fits everywhere you get an idea of how well this hard shell case fits anywhere you need to take it with you anywhere you need to for your lifestyle or business. (I can see this also being great to hold wireless headphones and a selfie light in a small space to not be damaged and put in pocket or purse. Another option I can see is using it to store make up items or other electronic items that are small easy to lose in this that won’t get lost and won’t be squished at all if you think you want to protect a small handful of items besides a recording device)
