Throw this one-time-use Kodak Max 35mm camera into your bag on your way out the door. It'll come in handy at the beach, the party or the game for capturing all the fun and spontaneity. Focus-free, highest-quality single-use camera features a flash for indoor shooting. It comes pre-loaded with 35mm Kodak Max 800 film. 27 exposures. Made in USA. 3Hx4-1/2Wx1D"
The Kodak Max HQ one-time-use camera gives the user bright and colorful pictures across a wide range of lighting conditions. This point-and-shoot camera comes equipped with a 30mm aspheric lens, just like the one used in Kodak's KB 35mm cameras, to deliver sharp pictures from a variety of picture-taking conditions. The Max HQ's design and overall picture quality make it among the best of the single-use cameras.
Top customer reviews
I keep one in the glovebox of each car in case of a collision, and change them every two years. We just took out the old ones and used them (Kodak also) and got good pictures. We have used two of them to photograph collisions, so I hope these die of old age, but prefer to be prepared.
Don't open the box and unwrap the camera from its foil paper wrapping until you're ready to use it; and make sure you use this camera before the expiration date printed on the cardboard box. When you do want to use the camera it's simple enough to use. Wind it up for the first photo you take by running your thumb on the dial on the top of the camera from left to right. Want a flash for your picture? No problem. Just push the flash button on the front of the camera and within seconds the camera can take a flash picture. There's also an indicator on the top of the camera to tell you how many pictures you have left on the roll of film inside it.
The 800 film helps make this camera very useful for both outdoor and indoor photos; and it's easy to carry this camera because it's so light and compact. It can fit into a woman's pocketbook, a man's briefcase, backpack or just about any overnight travel bag.
You also get 27 exposures per camera; this makes the camera great for vacations or extensive photo taking days like weddings and other ceremonies. Great!
Unfortunately, there is one fly in the ointment. Although this camera is really very good; the pictures it takes are not quite as clear and crisp as they would be from a digital camera or a conventional 35mm camera with the individual rolls of film you put in and then take out when you're ready to have the film developed. I hope that Kodak remedies this problem quickly; but until then I have to take off a star for this to make this a four star review.
Overall, this single use camera is convenient and budget priced. After all, digital cameras and regular 35mm cameras can get somewhat expensive; this is your best choice if you're on a budget and want a Kodak quality camera. It doesn't yet have the technology to take the very best quality pictures so I hope Kodak works on this in the near future.
Personally I wouldn't call this Camera "Kodak's Best Ever Disposable Camera" as the Box Suggests, the results IMO were pretty much the same as the Previous 'Yellow' Kodak MAX Dispobable Camera model... WITHOUT the Ektanar Lens. I've found Photo's taken Outside in Daylight with this Camera turn out Excellent when Developed. However, the Indoor Shots even with the Flash, especially at Night have turned out very Average showing a Bright Subject with an almost Pitch Black Background despite plenty of light behind the Person/Subject at the time of Photographing. A great Camera for capturing Spontaneous Funtimes with Above Average Results, but if you plan to attend a Special Event and want VERY good Photos at the end of the Day I suggest a Proper Non-Disosable Kodak 35mm Camera.
Update: I contacted Kodak customer support to express my disappointment and they quickly responded by e-mail and also mailed me a new One-Time-Use camera (not the Max HQ!) which I received in 3 days after sending the e-mail! Their customer support definitely gets an A++++++!
This camera comes loaded with Kodak Max Versatility 800-speed film. For best results, always use the built-in flash when shooting indoors or at night.
This camera produces excellent-quality images. If you are thinking of enlarging your photos to 8"x10" (or larger!), or if you are using the image for any kind of commercial or artistic application, you should strongly consider the Kodak HQ Max Versatility OTUC.
** Just a Note, I had these Photographs Reprinted at a Different Photo Store to the Store who Developed the Pictures and they turned out 100% better than the Original Set! So it certainly Pays to try different Stores!! The Reprints are Fantastic and So Clear :o)
