I wanted to leave a review so that others won't purchase and cross their fingers and hope as I did. There are multiple mini printers on the market but they all produce tiny 2" x 3" sticker prints. I wanted something small and simple that produces larger prints and this is almost the perfect answer. The picture quality is exactly what you would expect from professionally developed pictures, yet the device is remarkably compact and transportable. There are two half points deducted: first, it does not have a rechargeable power source so it needs a power outlet, and second it needs a new printer cartridge with each new stack of paper. The power situation doesn't bother me as I can easily wait to return home to print, and each paper refill comes with a new cartridge. The refills are around $20 for the cartridge and 40 print papers making the cost fifty cents each. If you want larger pictures and professional quality this is a great choice. I hope this helps those of you looking for a review as this is a new product launch for Kodak.

I'm revising this review since after I eventually figured out how to get it to work.

This is a really nice printer. The hardware seems pretty solid, it's not too slow, and it prints really good quality 4x6 prints. And it's simple enough that my 13 year old, not particularly technical daughter can use it, change ink/paper etc. with no difficulty. Had a lot of problems with it at first, because you can only print to it using the Kodak app, and that app was unable to see the vast majority of pictures on anyone's phone who tried to use it, just offering to print anywhere from 1 to 20 or so random pictures out of thousands on the phone and acting like the rest didn't exist. I eventually figured out that this was due to the app not understanding that iPhones store photos on iCloud and keep only thumbnails on the phone; The app is completely unaware of that. Went back and forth with tech support for a week or two with no help (annoyingly they insisted the problem was already fixed in the next release and we should just wait, even though eventually it became clear that they didn't even know what the problem was). When I suggested it might be iCloud they responded iCloud was simply not supported, although that's not mentioned anywhere. I eventually figured out that if you browse your photos on the phone (not in the Kodak app) and hit "copy" on one you want to print, that will pull the whole photo down from the cloud into the phone temporarily, and then the Kodak app will happily see it and print it.

So, bottom line, I really like the printer. But if it doesn't work for you, don't trust tech support to help you and don't believe anything they say.

I love the ease of printing with this printer and the pictures are crisp and clear. However, it is very expensive to use as the ink and cartridge runs out quickly. I've already replaced three cartridges and I have not developed over a hundred pictures.

Love the printer! It was fairly easy to learn how to use. It does require an app to be added to your phone. The prints came out clear and with good color. Be careful about ordering paper. The suggested "frequently bought together" paper does not work with this paper. You need to purchase a cartridge refill and the appropriate paper comes with it.

If you have a USB-C, please be aware you can't use dock

The printer works well. One drawback. You cannot use the dock with a USB-C type smartphone. Very disappointing that it would work for Android (non USB-C) and come with a solution for i phone. But not for my Samsung galaxy s8 plus. Yes I can use wifi. Just wish it included something where I could use dock. My mistake

I purchased this printer for my wife because it was 1) Kodak which is / used to be a well respected brand, and 2) Other reviews said how easy it was to use. While the printer itself is easy to use you need the app on your device to print and THE APP IS GARBAGE!! if you have more than a dozen or two photos on your device it only shows a random amount of pictures you can choose from and print. No scrolling, selection, or any options to get to the rest of your picture. What is really irritating is it show on the preview screen the most recently download picture but when you open to print it's not even one of the pictures selected to be able to print. STAY AWAY UNTIL THE APPS GETS FIXED. When I see it fixed I'll update this review.

I had read the reviews for this. A lot of negatives but surely those must be a one off. I decided to buy it anyways. I was very disappointed. A product with Kodak's name on, it thought would be a good product. Wrong. First it would not link up with my Moto androud phone. App kept crashing. Fine I'll try my work phone, Samsung. Wifi would not work. Then I tried to print. It wouldn't pull the paper through. Kept asking for me to confirm paper was in the tray. Yes I said, three times. Shut it off try again.m Finally took a sheet. It went back and forth. No idea what it was doing. Then I think it was putting down yellow . It came out the back all curled up. It then went back in, and I could tell it was jambing up. It was struggling, then stopped. This is not worth the headaches.

The form factor is great. This was a worthwhile buy for me because I travel a lot and like to do smaller prints before doing larger ones, but wanted something larger than an instax. But overall the print quality isn’t amazing.

1) The initial cartridge was only good for 4/5 prints and not the 10 on the cartridge? Not a great sign for larger rolls.
2) A couple of my initial prints had a cmy offset of a couple mm. This has the effect of making the print look blurry and fringey, and not in a lo-fi fun way. The 40 print cartridge has been okay, but if I’d just purchased the initial cartridge I’d have returned it ASAP.
3) the rollers have damaged a couple of photos in exactly the same spot - it’s not every photo, or even most, but is annoying.
4) colour reproduction is weird. Whites and greys veer cool compared to an iPhone or my MacBook, if you try to cc warm to compensate then shadows go muddy. Not great for Kodak, esp something that should be kind of plug and play.
5) photos are dim? Hard to explain but I wish there was an exposure/gain dial in the app’s adjustment tab, the brightness slider isn’t a log brightness, which is kind of limited - it’s unpredictable so annoying to go out of the app to get a proper photo editor. You can do exposure as a filter - lame.
6) b/w photos look nice. Again, dim, but if you jam on exposure or contrast you can get some good stuff.
7) give me a white/black photo border in the app please thanks.

I ended up returning the product and went with a similar printer by Canon

Pagata 75 euro, e devo dire che sono molto soddisfatto le foto sono molto fedeli alla fonte (in alcune vedevo dei dettagli che da telefono non notavo). Certo se la foto digitale fa schifo lo sarà anche su carta.
Veniamo alle criticità:
1) L'app è povera di impostazioni e personalizzazioni (io le foto le ho modificate da app di terze parti)
2) E' presente soltanto l'adattato micro-usb/apple ma non quello micro-usb/usb-c
3) la stampate dopo la stampa va fatta rifreddare un momento (un paio di minuti) altrimenti capita che dopo due foto di seguito non stampa più e vi viene un infarto (se non avete letto il manuale)
Le ricariche costano quello che costano...ma credo che come durabilità e qualità si va sul sicuro.
La stampate non è propriamente portatile...è piccola si...ma non la si può portare in giro anche perchè dev'essere alimentata (giusto per precisarlo)

Arriva con una cartuccia ridotta da 10 stampe e 10 fogli, ma poi quando andrete a comprare la ricarica ci sono 3 tipi, da 40 da 80 e da 120, quindi da 40 con 40 fogli e una cartuccia da 40 a circa 21e, da 80 con 2 pacchi da 40 fogli e due cartucce da 40 e circa 37 e poi quella da 120 con 3 pacchi da 40 foto e 3 cartucce da 40 a circa 52e
