Highly recommended. I tried to go a little cheaper and also purchased a Dolphin ukulele. By the time I purchased a gig bag that provide adequate protection and replace the strings, I was paying about the same price as the Kohala. Both sound very good and hold tuning after the strings are adequately stretched.

My 15 year old daughter researched instruments and decided on a soprano ukulele. After price comparisons we decided on this one and have been happy with our choice. It has to be tuned often, but apparently that is to be expected when it is new. It is easy to learn and sounds good. She had two current songs down perfectly by the end of the first day. It was a great deal with the tuner and bag included.

Love it. It arrived at my house literally the day after I ordered it which was amazing because I just paid for standard shipping. It's also really pretty and the bag that it comes in is super cute. The Tuner works great too although when you use it outside, it is a little hard to see. It also came with an instruction booklet which was extremely helpful for me since I didn't know how to play a ukulele at the time.

I was really looking forward to this ukulele. I have been playing the ukulele for several years, and I also play the guitar, the violin, and the string bass. My daughter has a Kohala concert uke, and the sound is mellow and lovely. Unfortunately, the soprano uke I received was not in tune with itself. After tuning all the strings until they each held their pitch, the chords themselves were not in tune. Playing an E on the C string did not match the correct pitch of the E string, for example. This made all the chords sound awful, even though the open strings themselves were in tune. I was sad to have to return it.
