The brew tube is easy to use and easy to clean. You basically fill tube with coffee (and flavor fixins' if you want), fill Mason jar with water, drop in the brew tube, seal the jar and 24 hours later..voila!
My favorite cold brew recipe is Mexican Mocha! Here's the fixins:
48oz Mason jar
1 cup ground coffee
2 heaping Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
2 tsp cinnamon
Dash cayenne - all into the brew tube!
After 24 hours remove brew tube. Add stevia & your favorite creamer to taste. You are now enjoying the most tasty and low cal mocha you can imagine! Smooth and velvety finish, Ole!
As if that's not good enough, the clean up is super easy too. Set the brew tube in your sink for a bit while it dries out and with a simple tap all the grounds fall out for easy clean up (WAY easier & cleaner than french press).

I add 3/4 cup of ground coffee and fill the jar with cold water. The coffee grounds tend to coagulate at the top of the tube, so I stir them with a chopstick. I repeat this about an hour later, because they coagulate once more. After that, even several hours later, they're no longer sticking together.
Note: I'm using a 32 ounce jar. The recommended amount of coffee is 3/4 cup. With this amount of coffee I can only add 26 ounces of water to the jar and that fills it to the brim. That's enough for about 2-1/2 mugs of coffee, bear it in mind when you're choosing the size of mason jar to get.
I just leaved the covered jar on our counter for 12-15 hours and enjoy the contents the following morning. The coffee is definitely smoother, and heats up very nicely.
I've just been throwing out the grinds and rinsing the brew tube after use. Then I leave it dry in the kitchen rack for a few hours.
The filter is solidly manufactured and lifts right out of the jar revealing your cold brew. Delicious. Easy. Pour over ice!
The best part (besides the resulting brew) is the ease of clean up. Cleaning up after other cold brew methods has always been a challenge, with the Brew Tube you just tip the filter into your compost or your trash and, boom! The grounds fall right out. True love right there.
Recommendation: Brewing can be done in 12,18,24 or more hours based on how strong you want it. The longer you wait the stronger the coffee will be. Regardless of the 'recommended ratio' of coffee grounds to water you can easily make adjustments to future batches (time, ratios...) or just dilute the coffee if too strong. Beware, the first time you try cold brew coffee it will taste much stronger than you might be used to. Keep experimenting to find what works for you. Goodbye Keurig--Hello Kolob!
