UPDATE! 10/2/15 - It's been a little over 2 years with this bag and I still love it! I currently carry one DSLR body with a lens, 2 additional lenses, and a lot of accessories (air blower, extra battery, charger, USB cable, extra SD cards). And that's only the bottom section and the front pocket! In the side pockets I'll usually keep a water bottle and a pen and mini notebook, and in the top compartment I'll usually keep a jacket or something depending on what I'm doing that day. This bag has traveled with me to Arizona and even overseas to Ireland and makes for a nice carry-on bag for flights. The only flaw that I've noticed is so minuscule. Occasionally the snap to the front pocket will come undone, but you can easily snap it back on without even taking the bag off your shoulders. It's easy enough to just reach around to your back to re-snap it.
This backpack is not very secure since the snaps fall off.
The top portion of the bag will hold small items but it is defiantly not a bag for a day hike. The Koolertron Canvas DSLR SLR Camera Shoulder Bag is the worst Camera bag that I have used and a person will get a lot more for their money by purchasing almost any other Backpack.
Well, just got back from the Texas Hill Country, sadly the Koolerton did not fare too well. As others have noted, the stiching is so-so at best, on strap failed after 10 minutes of use, fortunately I managed to keep my gear from spilling on the rocky hillsides. Noticed stitching elsewhere on the bag was weakening. Bottom line, I had high hopes for this bag, but sadly, well, you get what you paid for. Should have stuck with Domke backpack.
For one, the top pocket has no support, it just collapses down and is hard to wrangle and put stuff in. The Velcro divider between it and the section below has two huge spaces an either side and stuff is bound to fall through.
The bottom pouch where the cameras go is just fine except the cushion is an insert with no mean of attaching it to the bag, so it pops out due to problem 3, which follows.
There is a rain cover in the very bottom, which is a cool idea. It falls short of being useful though because it doesn't fold flat enough and causes the camera cushion to pop out as well as making it so the bag doesn't sit upright (I never really need it to be upright on its own as I usually hang it or rest it on a wall, but still...).
Anyway, it has nice material. I like the leather trim and I will get some good use out of it.
