I prefer the size of the Loney Planet book better, but the content of the Barrow book is easier to navigate.
I took a pic of the front and last page of the Barrow book. It’s a map of Seoul and their subway system, which the Loney Planet book didn’t have. I felt it was more organized and had more useful information.
I felt like the Loney Planet book was more disorganized and would be harder to find things at a moments notice.
I just wish they would make it larger so I could see the font more easily.
This book contains all the beginner material you need to begin to understand and pronounce Hangul.
The font is very very very small and I didn't like that part.
I like the plastic cover on the front.
It has a small dictionary in the back with useful words.
It has mostly phrases in certain useful categories.
It has a map of the Seoul subway system (but not other cities).
It's a great book to help you get around.
I liked the color coding of the categories on the tops of the pages.
This book should come in larger sizes for people who cannot read this very small font.
It would not be possible to hold the book and read it while say on a moving bus, the font is too small.
However it's a great book full of all the beginner things you need to have with you when traveling in Korea.
Why don't they make a larger size like 8x11 inches?
It is a pocket book I know, but I wouldn't mind carrying something larger that is so useful.
