The only complaint I have is the quality of materials used for this. I haven't had any issues with it breaking, but it's very lightweight and made out of a plastic material. So if it's dropped I'd be scared it crack easily or break. So just be aware of that. Other than that it's a amazing keyboard and I recommend it.

The Negatives:
1. I had to get used to that you can use batteries(6hrs). When I read the specs that was a personal hang up for me. I associate batteries in keyboard amateurish.
2. Light weight (8.32 lbs). In the past when a product selling point is that it's ultra light, they lose in other areas.
3. Keybed feel. While the last two I mentioned are personal negative and understand it's positives for others this third negative I stand strongly. I was surprised that Korg will allow such standards. They are lightly semi weighted, but good to play songs that mainly are in white keys. If you play songs in black keys (Keys of Ab, Bb, Db, Eb, Gb) you will be disappointed. The pressure on the unwieldy black keys will make you sound like an intermediate if you are an experienced player. I almost returned it for the lack of playability. Let me also add this for you guys who are looking for midi controllers. Most midi controllers have poor feel. Kross 2 having good piano sounds is useless to play piano pieces.
4. The Pitch and Modulation wheel are small and awkwardly positioned north west on the keyboard.
5. Screen a bit small to read, but better than their competitors in this price range.
Here are the positives:
1. Price.
2. Sounds. 1,075 programs. Lots of good useable patches for live settings. Good brass, strings, drums(58), and some average organs. Some organs you cannot control the leslie speaker with modulation. Synths(lead/pads) are hit and miss. In the pad department their are some great ones. A quarter of the piano programs including electric pianos are impressively nice. The Kross 2 keybed is not equipped for piano players. The only suggestion is you need to midi a master controller that has better feel. It has a 128 note polyphony, which is the minimum standard professionally. Guitar sounds are poor.
3. Extra features that was a nice surprise for the price point. Sequencer (210,000 MIDI events) 772 Preset drum patterns, Sampler (14 sec), Polyphonic arpeggiators, 4 Zone settings, Wave Importation, Audio Recorder (3hrs continuous recording), Vocoder
4. Lay Out. Great for live playing. Engineered for live musicians in mind more so than any other keyboard in that prince range. 16 Sampling pads can be used to assign your favorite sounds by assigning to each pad in bank A through H. No scrolling down or fooling around with a laptop. Real Time Contollers Knobs positioned on the left where you can control Tone, FX, Audio and Tempo. Easy Category written on the board with a big knob used to scroll your sounds.
Conclusion: We live in a present time that is ruled by DJ's. So live keyboard players that play pop/rock music are being force fed new dance technology. The Korg Kross 2 is mindful of EDM producers, and also live musicians. It's the best of both world, and with some time spent on the board its moderately easy friendly. For live keyboard players use this keyboard as a for slave. For the EDM crowd you can use this as a main. Sounds of the Kross 2 is a 7.5 out of 10 in my book. A few excellent sounds that are ready for producing a great pop track. Not even looking for a sequencer I cannot deny it's power. I haven't fooled around much with the sequencer, vocoder, and use the sampler on only two songs. It's narrow length you are more likely have to put it on a Ultra stand, because a normal keyboard stand the bars will oddly stick out. The dimensions are perfect for producers that put it on a desk. I use it very specific and it works for me. I use the Kross 2 for live playing. I was in a cross road of whether to keep this keyboard or buy another one, because of my disdain I have for the keyboard feel. It's the lay out, features, and some good sounds that changed my mind. Before I leave I have a message for the EDM wizards that want to go in the route of hardware keyboard and have a limited budget. Look in to the Kross 2. I have a feeling that magnificent music can be produced. Go to Krossroad, and you will find you don't have to sell your soul to get a million dollar sound.
