Kostadin and His Kaval Home Use
Kostadin is eleven, and he plays a sort of flute known as a Kaval. He loves his country's folk music and has formed a group with other children his age. His parents are hardworking farmers, and his father frowns on Kostadin's passion for music. One day, Kostadin is chosen to take part in a folk-music festival in a neighboring town. His father tells him he can't go, but with the help of his young musician friends, Kostadin decides to go anyway and starts preparing his trip in secret. Will Kostadin get away with disobeying his father, or are his dreams as a musician all but ended?
There are eight of them: eight children from every corner of the planet. As different as they are, one thing unites them: music. Their instruments are often unusual because they are rooted in their countries' traditions. The Kids, Music & Dance series invites you to discover the music of these special children and the close relationship they have with their instruments.
