These zinc-plated pocket screws are an excellent choice for all-around indoor pocket hole construction. The washer head design provides maximum bearing surface, and prevents the head from driving through the pocket. It also ensures that the screw will seat neatly in the bottom of the hole. The auger points drive in easily with minimal splitting, while the zinc finish reduces friction and provides corrosion resistance. Coarse thread for excellent performance with softwoods.
The Kreg 1-1/4-Inch #8 Coarse Pocket Hole Screws with Washer-Head, 100 pack, prevents overdriving in pocket bottoms, which is especially critical in composite and plywood work pieces. The self-tapping type 17 auger tip eliminates the need to predrill, and its larger diameter steel shank creates a nearly unbreakable screw. The bronze-colored finish and dry-lubricant coating improves driving torque and rust resistance.See all Product description

I bought similar screws but a different brand before and the heads would snap off under too much torque (which was not much), these ones have never snapped. I do wish they came in a brown color as well because I love these so much that I use them in exposed places as well and not only in pocket holes.
Do buy these!
The coarse threads are great for soft woods (pine, etc.), though you CAN still strip the wood if you use too much force setting the screw. These provide excellent hold dry, and are amazing clamping devices for glue curing.
I recommend these pocket-hole screws for Kreg jig work.
Size is exact and work exactly as advertised.
