The main characters, Conway and Venus, have great chemistry, and serve as really the only likable, redeeming individuals in the story as the pair who ends up finding some middle ground and sanity--along with one another--amid the conflict between the Krinar aliens and the Resistance.
But beyond all of that, there is also some hardcore Dunkin' Donut pimpin' in this book. And when I say "pimpin'", I don't just mean Hiestand tries to sell the reader on eating Dunkin' Donuts--I mean creme-filled doughnuts are sexualized. And I'll just leave it at that.
